Who doesn't like the CELEBRITY that is Cher? Cher is an AWESOME actress that should have done more movies. I'm not a fan of her voice but she's got some songs that are nice.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "How do you rate her?".....She's an ICON...I know you don't want us to rate an ICON on some scale? If you said Beyonce or Adel or somebody starting out that's another story but Cher is CHER...She's Royalty..She's got nothing to prove...

She's alright, her music is pretty good. I have seen her in concert (Living Proof Tour 2005) and have a couple of albums, Greatest Hits and Believe.

But she is a bit strange, still doing well for someone in her late 60s. Her acting is pretty decent too, and I think Mermaids, Silkwood and Moonstruck are great movies. Haven't seen Burlesque though, mainly as I heard it tanked.

Overall I rate her about a 7/10, I like her music and movies but not a hardcore fan, she wins points for her gay appeal though.

Way above Britney, Gaga and Whitney, but not up there with Cyndi and Madonna for me though.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I love Cher! When I was a kid, I wanted to be Cher. I listened to all her songs back in the day, watched her tv shows and went to see her movies. I loved her gowns and her gorgeous hair.

Having said that, her voice sucks. She is not a good singer at all IMO, but she is Cher and I love her. I wish she would make more movies.

Big fan. Her voice works well with just about any style of music. Believe was one of my favorite albums growing up. She's an awesome actress too.

I'm a fan. I don't like all of her songs but I like a fair amount. To me she's always been much better than someone like Madonna. Cher has a different voice and unique style.

I have loved her since I was a little girl. touched

I always loved the uniqueness of her voice, and I looked forward to her gowns on the variety show week after week.

I've always been in awe of her! As a baby gay, I would practice her mannerisms to a "T'. When I was in 4th grade I wrote her a fan letter, and would U know, 8 weeks later I recieved a postcard in the mail that said "Hi Benjie, Love Cher"! She's in Geisha wig and a red kimono. I still have it somewhere!

I grew up on her in the Late 60's (because my mother had her earliest albums.) I know she was always around when I was a teen and a young man, but she never really did anything 4 me. She's just okay. I hated all of her 80's/90's output. I think it's her voice I can't stand. It just doesn't resonate with me. Her acting, on the other hand, blows me away. I can't past the goaty vibrato and/or the way she drops her notes with that ghostly slur. 2 each his/her own, right? I'll stick with Tina Turner ANY day. smile

I didn't like her 90s revival so much but I can get into some Gypsys Tramps and Thieves.

I love her as an actress, Moonstruck is one of my all-time favourite movies and The Witches Of Eastwick is not far behind.

As a singer, I love her 80's pop/rock albums. Not at all a fan of the generic dance stuff she released in the 90's. I read a few years ago that for her new album she would go back to a more rock-based sound, but alas, the new album will be dance music sad

I find her very "tolerable," if that makes any sense, but don't love her. If one of her better songs comes on the radio I'll probably listen, but I'm not gonna buy a Cher CD; not even a greatest hits.
