So...apparently D'Angelo rocked Toronto last night

I'm actually not a big fan, but a friend posted this clip from D'Angelo's Toronto show last night. Great version of "Brown Sugar." And his lineup is pretty darned fierce. thumbs up!

Pino Palladino (bass), Chris Dave (drums), Jesse Johnson (guitar), Isaiah Sharkey (guitar), Cleo Samples (keys).

Almost all of the grooves sound like the same fatback pocket funk when D'Angelo performs live.

is anyone going to see him at First Ave with Questlove? i kind of want to come up for it as tix are only 40 bucks. i can't believe they're not sold out yet.

I had no idea he was here. I'd have gone if only to see the notables in his band play together.

i use 2 dig him but the older i get im just not feeling people that bite prince style so damn hard i would like it more if he use him as inspiration and created his own from it
