Guy disses Teddy Riley

This is related to the problems Teddy has with members Guy & Blackstreet well Aaron Hall lets folks know why Teddy not with Guy & calls him out for forming like 9 different Blackstreet groups.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNGUyoflQekWell Teddy Riley responded with a post dissing them acting like he's innocent saying he showed them love in his interview but what Teddy says on his interview & on twitter are different things and he was encouraging fans not to see Guy with Aaron & Damion Hall without him which is why they called him out now he's salty and wrote a long paragraph calling out Aaron Hall basically calling him a crackhead says he disrespects women and that he really did say the dumb bitch line in Piece Of My Love he just covered for him but Teddy also mentioned before all this and tweets don't lie that he would perform with Guy if it's not booked as just Guy and he deserves a separate billing like with Blackstreet. He wants to be like David Ruffin when he said David Ruffin & The Temptations well Teddy wants it to be Teddy Riley & Guy with his name in bigger lights or Teddy Riley ft. Guy or Guy ft. Teddy Riley. This is where their problems originally stemmed from back in 89 when Teddy demanded that billing when they did My Fantasy. Now he got issues with Chauncey Black Aaron Hall & Damion Hall. Neither one bit their tongue with their distain for each other now sad what business can do to friends. Here's Teddy Rileys rant about Guyhttp://www.twitlonger....how/lspjh6

Still one of the best recent (2012) videos I have watched with Teddy talking about the MPC and his history:

Let's be real: drama has always surrounded Guy; this is nothing new. Instead of bickering, they should be pushing for a special edition release of The Future just like the debut album got.

When I read this thread title, I had no idea there was someone who went by the name "Guy".

Imagine my disappointment when I found out this was not a story about some random guy dissing Teddy Riley.

Actually, I have no idea who Teddy Riley is, either.

I thought this was going to like a story from "The Onion", where some random guy says random stuff and it turns out funny.

At least I got to read one of the longest run-on sentences ever in the OP!

I don't care if u were born in 2008, you should know Teddy Riley's key material:

MJ - Jam

MJ - Remember The Time

Blackstreet - No Diggity

Blackstreet - Before I Let Go

Guy - Let's Chill

Wrecks - N- Effect - Rump Shaker

These songs get played like crazy even today.

I've never heard any of those songs. I've never even heard of any of those artists except MJ.

I'd prefer to get back to whomever this "Guy" person is, and discuss the disadvantages of going by the single name of "Guy" because as we've seen, it leads to really lame headlines.

He could go by the name "Putz" and the headlines would be better.

Now hang on just a minute - this Guy guy only has one album that was released in 1988, and you expect me to know who this Guy guy is?

LOL.

Detective released one album in 1977 and TWO albums in 1978. By your logic, you should be able to name every song on each album.

Wait a minute - Guy is a band?!?

Well, I've still never heard of them. But at least it's better that's a band's name than just some guy going by the name of Guy, LOL.

Guy was a group of 3 members, with 3 albums out, and much visible in the new jack swing beat era. Those who are familiar and who see Teddy and Guy's name in a topic, likely can connect those dots. If not... too bad, just a different interpretation.

If there was a guy named Guy and that guy wanted to go by simply "Guy", then if I were that guy I'd pronounce "Guy" as "Gee" like the French guys do.

Guy is not a person, it's a group.

Guy released 3 albums. Guy, The Future and Guy III.

They were very influential and were pioneers in the New Jack Swing movement. That is why the group hits home for any fan of r&b music of the last 30 years. If you are a fan of any r&b and/or hip-hop from the late 80s forward, you should really learn about how significant Teddy Riley is.

This guy should be considered a modern day r&b genius, but his personal life has overshadowed his talent. It is really sad to see someone like Teddy fall so far.

I don't want to attack you (like some here are trying to do). I can see from your profile that you are a rock guy (which is cool). That explains why you may not have heard of him.

BTW, Ted did a remix or 2 for Prince's Lovesign.

LOL, thanks. I never attacked Guy or Teddy Riley or anyone. I was just confused about who or what "Guy" was.

And I would NEVER mind being compared to Morgan Freeman, LOL!
