Conrad murray is crazy. I couldn't even laugh because dude doesn't even regret killing MJ sad... This trial is going to be horrible!! Whats up with the Jackson's wanting to humiliate mike all over again. It's going to be nasty and they are gonna talk about the molestion case and I wonder if his children are ready for this mess?! :/... I think it would actually be better if they aired it on tv because then the public won't be so negative against MJ... But I don't know, it sucks being an MJ fan, cuz damn not even his death could stop him from being put in a bad light :/

1983, 1993, 2003, here we are 2013 :*(

RIP mj.

Being a fan really, really sucks and though this is nothing against michael or his music, I'm slowly backing away or trying to now, cause this really hurts like hell. I couldn't even concentrate at work yesterday and was laughing at Conrad's pathetic singing though it ended in tears :*( I don't feel like he did anything though he did, it's too sick to admit. I know there was negativity for years too, but now it's just getting in the way of enjoying him. Accused of molestation twice, murdered, his family not backing him up and calling him a drug addict cause he didn't leave them money. I'm tired of it all, just tired! I should not be thinking about any of this anymore, and want to go back to the music though it never went, I just can't enjoy him anymore, only occasionally and it feels empty.

i don't know why all my previous post didn't show but i was posting that i think murray went into a deep psychotic break and denial when mj died. i can't imagine that if he were really acting like this before, when mj was alive, that someone, anyone, would have thought this guy was sane. in their email, aeg says they "checked him out" and he was all right or whatever. in what universe would someone who comes across like this be considered okay? murray sounds like a certifiable lunatic, and if he had been behaving like this before, arnold klein wouldn't have been the first doctor they would have been pointing their fingers at. it would have been murray.on the up side, although i didn't see the interview, i understand murray pretty much ripped the jacksons a new one, calling them out on their behavior, intimating that he's going to spill the beans on what mj may have told him about them. he can and will lie through his teeth for money at this point, but i don't care. it serves the jacksons right for not going after him for restitution. now he's going to get out in a few months and start getting paid for interviews, and there won't be anything the jacksons can do about it.

That's very possible! He seemed to be out of it when he realized he was going to jail as well and I think he can't comprehend he killed MJ. So I agree with you, he is certainly still in some kind of denial state but he sickens me. He killed the father of 3 underaged children yet has the nerve to talk about him trying his best to save his life? :/... The fact that it took him 1hr 20 min to call paramedics, and he had time to talk to his baby momma is proof enough he isnt a good doctor, he didn't even know how to perform CPR the right way and he's a cardiologist!

^^^Yup mental break down due to guilt I hope. I bet deep down he's very aware he wasn't skilled enough for the job he was doing. But I don't think he's gone insane. Sounds very much like he was totally prepared to sing. Either way nothing he said gave us a clue about his professional relationship with AEG.

Where as Jacksons, while I do not necessarily agree with certain things they've been doing for the past few years, their legacy as Jacksons and Jackson 5 is set in stone and they'll be remembered as one of the most successful groups of Motown. It's natural and understandable that they gravitate towards the good old days when Michael was part of the group because that was their peak. But it's not exactly their responsibility to spend the rest of their lives trying to preserve MJ's legacy. So I don't think it's fair to compare someone like Priscilla Presley to the Jacksons.

You have those that appreciate what they did, but they are also seen as huge jokes by an awful lot of people these days. And the ironic thing is, the media they mainly speak to (ex. UK tabloids, CNN) it's their audience that sees them as jokes. This is another thing that's bizarre about this family. They play up to those that hate them.

But anyway back to them not protecting MJ's image, fans bring up Priscilla Presley because she is the most in your face example that shows what the family continues to do is just stupid. Elvis has been dead over 35 years and she is still able to benefit greatly from her connection. While the Jackson family are stuck dealing with obvious vultures, who haven't been able to bring any success to them.

If they got out of the spotlight and lived their lives, then maybe fans could accept they just don't care about protecting MJ's image and legacy, but since the minute MJ died they have tried the capitalize off his passing, them throwing him under the bus just comes across as so fucked up and insanely stupid.

How can a family that's been around as long as them not know they need some sort of credibility to have success and make money? What can you really do if most folks are turned off by you?

Yes it's never smart to intentionally do anything to harm your family member's legacy but I still don't like her as an example because where Priscilla's coming from and where the Jackson brothers are coming from are very different since Priscilla has been the excutor and to this day a co-trustee of Elvis' estate (and Lisa also). They have certain amount of control of the use of Elvis' music and image, and that's the reason why they've been so protective of his legacy, because they do this for a living literally. Jackson siblings are not getting a dime from MJ's estate or have any kind of control over it so they probably see Michael as nothing but a family member whom they had both fond and frustrating memories of..(I will say LaToya's something else) Priscilla's smart because she has to be and I highly doubt she would've said nice things like the way she does these days about Elvis or even cared for Elvis' legacy if they hadn't had a daughter together and if she had been told there was no way she could ever make money off Elvis's estate ever.

About AEG saying "We want to remind (Murray) that it is AEG, not MJ, who is paying his salary. We want to remind him what is expected of him"....I really think this was supposed to be taken figuratively. Like when they said they're paying for the popsicles MJ's children are sucking on or something. They're not literally buying things for his children but AEG kept saying MJ doesn't have a cent, (which is NOT true and as fans we know though he was in dept he was still "worth" more than any other celebrity). so they're saying they're the ones who are paying Michael so Michael can afford things. I hate reading all these nasty emails and statements the AEG lawyers have made about Michael.

Yeah, but with other celebs you have everyone including friends who don't have anything to gain also defending their iconic friend's image. There are just too many examples out there for anyone to think nothing is wrong with how MJ's family is acting. Outside of Whitney's family, do you know of any family that happily gives the media ammo to go after their loved one?

The Priscilla thing is just funny because MJ fans for so long have always clowned on her because they saw her as nothing but the "ex-wife". And then MJ dies and these same fans prop up the Jacksons even though they embarrassingly do nothing publicly for MJ. Forget the fact they aren't getting a dime from the estate. Did MJ not carry their asses on his back for all these years? How can they not be out there fighting tooth and nail for him?

If they showed just some ounce of balls for the guy, their mooching wouldn't come across as bad. But them doing nothing for him, is what makes them look terrible.

It's like if Dolly Parton dies tomorrow. I bet you, you would see all those relatives she's taken care of and employed at Dollywood, etc., be out there strangling the public with information that she was an amazing woman.

[Edited 4/3/13 12:32pm][Edited 4/3/13 12:34pm] i hadn't thought of it emancipation's way. perhaps the fact that they aren't included in the will is the reason they've been behaving the way they are. even if they don't walk away with a dime from aeg, they have nothing to lose with this lawsuit. they don't care what the two johns will have to do to re-establish mj's image; after all, it isn't their job, is it? even if the kids are hurt down the road in life by this trial, it's no loss to the majority of them b/c they never really knew these kids before mj died anyway. so yes, in that way, i see that priscilla may be a poor example. still, i agree with mookie. even if mj didn't leave them anything, it would be better for them to say nothing if all they're going to do is drag him through the mud.

I did not want to watch this but made myself watch it.... and just want to cry... IM TIRED OF THIS SHIT! Im tired of this whole thing cry

I am tired of the greedy Jackson family and this selfish nutcase. Murray is fuckin nuts and I am glad that he singed so the public can see that as well.

Some posters brought up some good points. I think the reason why the Jackson family is throwing him under the bus is because he didnt leave them any money, did not tour with them and (for the siblings jealousy reasons) surprisely Jermaine and LaToya have not called Michael a drug addict and have blamed Murray. It has mostly been Katherine and Janet.

For some reason, unity and being on one accord does not mean anything to that family.

I can not believe they dropped the case against Murray and his OWN PARENTS dropped it. nuts If that doctor had did what he did to Michael to MY children...

Oh it would have been on!

I'm in it for the music and the good memories these days.

I watched the Murray trial and was relieved he got time, but there was no celebration as i came to the realisation that Michael was equally to blame for his demise as Murray was.

He was putting himself before his children, he new what he was doing and demanding from this quack, it's a real shame but that's the damn truth. He risked orphaning his children and disastrously lost.

I rarely post on Michael now because really it's all been said and done (uphill all the way til '83 and then the slow sad decline, interupted by a few career upturns). I know next to nothing about this trial and don't want to. I don't need it anymore, i'll always be a fan and look out for 'new' releases, but yeah, pretty much walked away and done with the whole sad circus.

I kept reading that CNN"s Jeffrey Toobin who didn't like MJ and who seemed sympathetic towards Murray, did a great job calling out the family on CNN and I finally came across an account of what he said:

Jeff T. called the family 'BUMS AND LEECHES' and said how sad it was that MJ supported his family of DO-NOTHINGS all his life and that now that he's gone the family is still trying to leech onto him and live off of MJ and that's what this lawsuit is all about.

He brought out how when MJ died the family would scream to anybody that would listen about how healthy MJ was and how great he was and ready for the shows, now when BIG $$$$ is at stake and as Jeffrey T said, "NOW THAT'S IT'S CONVIENIENT FOR THE FAMILY" THEY WANNA PORTRAY HIM AS SICKLY, UNHEALTHY, AND A DRUG ADDICT!
