Raphael looks like he is in good shape to me First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win-Mahatma Gandhi

I didn't take it as this being "beneath" him or anything. I like the song. Just gives him more dough is all. If you want me, EARN me.

They played the commercial again during the airing of the Soul Train Music Awards (I only saw the first hour) AND it looks like Raphael was the backing band for the entire show. He sung a Johnny Taylor song in the beginning and sounded really good. Then again, I've never heard him sound bad at any time either, but his band was great. It's good to still see him doing his thing If you want me, EARN me.

Saw it tonight while I was eating at a restaurant, I liked it. I never much cared for Saadiq music except when he was a member of the very brief, Lucy Pearl. I though the commercial was light, funny, and cool. I wouldn't mind having that ax he was carrying either.

His new record must be about to drop, I'd say early next year hopefully. MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

Raphael has always been skinny. Always ""We got a problem in the black community. We love thugs, perverts, pimps and general all around losers." Laura Richardson

Not in recent years though. Yes he was extremely scrawny-skinny when he first came out with 3T in the late 80's and well into the 90's...however, if you look at the "Let's Get Down" video (1996) with 3T (House of Music album), he gained a little weight and buffed up a little and has been that way ever since.
