Andy Williams (December 3, 1927 – September 25, 2012)

I'm not sure if YouTube requested that the embedded option be disabled on the first video, it worked once. It's ironic that Henri Mancini never asked Mr. Williams to record any of his soundtracks even though Williams was one of the best singers to interpret his work. One of the best singers who ever lived.

The youngins here will probably say "Andy, who?" , but he probably meant alot to your grandparents or great grandparents. He was one of my Dad's favorite crooners.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Did old boy sing the og version of You'll Never Walk Alone from Carousel?

I know the story about his ex wife murdering that ski instructor.

No, Mr. Williams didn't. The character Nettie Fowler sings this song to give comfort to the character Julie Jordan, who's husband has committed suicide, in Carousel.

It does seem odd.

Speaking of those two...

...The Days of Wine and Roses & Moon River

Mancini/Mercer classics.

Funny thing for me... "MoonRiver" was my least favorite song my Mancini/Mercer until Williams recorded it. I'm not sure if Williams ever recorded "Two For The Road, I haven't been able to find it. My favorite Mancini song.
