Well! To this day I haven't bought the album. I was disapointed in everything surounding the release of it and didn't buy it. I was at a store once, a couple of months ago really, when they were selling it for like 7 €. I was on the way to the counter, but couldn't bring myself to actually buy the album. I think it's a shitty cheap release for the first posthumes album. Not to say though that I don't know the songs. The stand out for me is "Hold my hand"... say what you want about Akon, I don't care. I love the song and I love Michael's parts on it. And I love how I felt to hear the first available recording of Michael post trial. Other than that "Hollywood tonight" is my favourite.
And I hate to say it, but despite only a little of Michael on the track, I really do like "Monster"... it's pretty catchy too.

I can not listen to the MICHAEL album. I know there are legit songs on there, but just looking at the cover reminds me of that first listen, and knowing damn well that the whole thing was NOT Michael.
All the shit with the fake tracks really ruined it for me. I own it,just can't play it. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

I really like Best Of Joy and Hollywood Tonight, i still listen to the album, except i've ripped it then re burnt it with the cascio songs off and replacing them with 3 of the unreleased songs from ultimate. it's 100% legit now and is much better, that Monster shit is nasty as is the other 2

I want to see this documentry SO bad!!! I am seriously jealous of Spike Lee,since he was given full access to Michael's archieves,I wonder if he got to hear all the songs, and see all the shows that we are waiting for?

I'm not interested in the 3D.. I just want it released as is, which is how I'd like all new songs and videos to be released. Remastering is good, but I don't want anything altered in any other way.

Nothing against you are anybody else but I've always...ALWAYS...rejected the notion that "Dangerous" is New Jack Swing simply because Teddy produced it. It's a pop album through and throuhg, with hints of hip-hop. Dare I say, as VainAndy would, it's the precursor to "shit-hop", lol. The album, esp. In The Closet, really is the prototype to N'Sync, Justin, Britney, et al but of course with a lot more soul. That's just my take on. I've always considered it a bit lazy to call that stuff New Jack Swing.
Anywho... I bought this today!

yes Dangerous inspired that crop of artists, I hear it more than I hear OTW and Thriller influences....but I wouldn't go as far as to calling Dangerous shit-hop, it's pop with elements of funk and new jack swing/hip hop...or as I like to jokingly deem it New Jackson Swing

I'm not really interested in the 3D either,I just want the concert released,I want them ALL to be released. Victory,Triumph,Destiny,Dangerous,History, and whatever else they might have.

Unfortunately they mentioned releasing a HIStory tour show from Germany.. I don't think he performed "D.S.", "Come Together" or the Off The Wall medley at any of the shows in Germany. I was hoping that when they got around to releasing that tour, they'd pick one of the best shows. Maybe this is all they have, but I thought I heard before that Michael had all of his shows filmed (?)

I am pretty sure he did,but I am not absolutely positive about that. They did say that the VHS copy of the Wembley show was Michael's personal copy. That he liked to be able to look at the show, and see if anything needed perfecting,so if that was the case I would think he would have done that with all his shows.
I love Michael, and I love his music, but I really don't know all about the technical stuff. That is more bboy's area.

I wouldn't either, I think I called it the precursor to shit-hop, meaning the album in its entirety (including the Bill Bottrell tracks) was the formaula for all the tenny bopper to follow in the late 90s and early Y2Ks...and some even still today.
But "Dangerous" is simply not New Jack Swing, its a pop album. I remember first hearing it and being in complete awe of what Michael and teddy did together. It was nothing like we'd heard from either of them. "In The Closet" is a lesson in record production all by itself. FRIKKING GENIUS the way Teddy Built that track, and Michael's vocal FRIKKING GENIUS!! I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Well, he never performed "D.S." and "Come together" on the '97 leg. And on the '96 leg he didn't perform BOTDF. I'd rather have BOTDF. He did perform the OTW medley on the early shows in Germany but dropped it by the time he reached Munich unfortunately. Whilst it is true that probably all shows got filmed and kept, many shows have been shown on various TV stations around the world, none of the shows got the extra treatment with extra cameras, extra light and HD recording like Munich did. That one is the best looking show. Maybe we're lucky though and they add the missing songs as a bonus. We should pester the estate about that.
The one thing I really do hope more than anything else though is that they rework the audio. They totally screwed up the Munich sound and took out all the audience cheering during the songs, which makes the show basically sound like it's dubbed with bad sounding studio versions of the songs. There is no live feel at all.

I love the original demo too that mj had more of a part in, it's awesome hearing the final result. And dare me, Prince just may have sang "your butt is mine" over this track if no the last time, that's how hot it is [Edited 9/29/12 6:46am]

Although I loved seeing MJ live from right at the front my heart sank when I realised how much of it was mimed. "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

MattyJam said: Hollywood Tonight is 100% legit. The demo confirms that.
I would say that is the highlight of the Michael album for me. This song had so much potential - it has a killer hook and is vintage sounding MJ. I would say it is stronger than any of the uptempos on Invincible.
How on earth can there be fake vocals on HMH? That song was around years before MJ passed. Don't let the fake Cascio shit smear the name of perfectly good and legitimate MJ songs. AGREED, I think it's MJ on that whole album but they were rough demo vocals painfully auto-tuned and messed around with. A lot of the backing vocals are not MJ which is why people went bananas about it IMHO.. "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

Yeah, it's not that great of a show with all the miming and minimal new stuff compared to the previous tours, but I still think it would be nice if they released it even for completist purposes.

No way.
It's very simple, there are seven legitimate songs and three fake ones on Michael..
Have you heard any of the other Cascio tracks that didn't end up on the album?? They ALL have the same shady vocals. There is no way Michael Jackson is singing on any of those Cascio songs, it's simply not him.

For the last week,it has been Michael music 24-7,and when I am not listening to his music,I have songs of his running through my mind. It's like I am craving anything Michael. I was up till after 2:00 last night watching different video's on youtube, everything from J5 appearances in the 70's to newer performances.
