Maybe. But why the shitty new remixes then? I couldn't believe MJ actually wasted time on a few of those on "thriller 25". Kids love MJ, but they love the real authentic stuff, not the new remixes which are so desperate to be "cool".

I just wish we dont get a "Dangerous 25" etc..., just release the damn unreleased demos and songs. And while they are at it, do a proper treatment of "moonwalker" (extras, commentary) and no cuts this time mad

Only die hards care about the unreleased stuff, yet they expect fans to pony up money for an album (in this case "bad") that every hardcore and even most casual fans already have just to get a few new songs? Ridiculous and daylight robbery!

Sony could do an "Anthologyesque" documentary on MJ's music too. At least the Spike Lee doc is a step in the right direction.

I agree! I dont even know why they bothered to put remixes on BAD25 I didnt even bother to listen to them and it really does no justice to the classics.

I think they should just start catering to the real fans all together and stop with trying to keep him relevant with the times or reach casual listeners with all the extra bullshit remixes.

I really enjoyed the unreleased material, truly a treat and the DVD.

True, but that's the same Mike did with the remixes in 08. I hated the remixes, just heard snippets from those songs and it was just horrible.

I wished they could have released more Bad outtakes. They could have given us all the 21 demos that we know exist, instead of the french version of IJCSLY, Streetwalker and fly away which we already have.

They could have given us all these tracks!!!! lol... I still appreciate that the estate gave us the DVD + The demos, but I still think they could have given us hardcore fans more songs after the shitty Michael fake album.

What You Do To Me"
"Get In To The Groove" ( "Black or White's" demo ?)
"Turning Me Off"
"Neverland Landing"
"Throwin' Your Life Away"

Cheater

Buffalo Bill

Chicago 1945 (Mike apparently reworked the song during the invincible era)

Crack Kills(Featuring Run DMC) - Never got finished due to problems.

Hot Fever

Tomboy

A Pretty Face

Color Of My Soul

Eatin' Alive ( Mjs version no the duet with Diana)

I just wanna say how THRILLED I am with "Bad 25".

The Estate have done a great job. This is a great treat for MJ fans.

Really enjoyed the dvd and the unreleased songs. I can't stop listening to "I'm So Blue" and "Price of Fame". "I'm So Blue" especially is the one fo the most beautiful songs i've heard period. Michael's voice just soars on it. So beautiful.

Can't wait now to see the Spike Lee documentary on "Bad".

Co-sign with you on I'm So Blue. That is one gorgeous song and is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded imo. It does not sound like it was recorded in the 80s--it has that classic, timeless sound to it and I think it would do very well out on the market today. He could've put this on Invincible and it clearly would have been the stand-out track on that album. I think it should be released as a single--I would love to hear this played on the radio!

I'm glad "bad 25" is doing pretty shitty in the UK charts (no.6 and only 11,000 copies shows how unimportant album charts are in the UK these days ).

The Deluxe Edition was actually sold out midweek. All the major online retailers couldn't deliver it on time after they dealt with the pre-orders and HMV even took it off their website. The problem is that no-one wants the 2-disc edition and it's not the type of package that people will download unlike the major new releases.

‘MICHAEL JACKSON LIVE AT WEMBLEY’ DVD

MICHAEL JACKSON’S BAD25 CD TOPS CHARTS AROUND THE WORLD

New York, NY—Just one week after the release of Michael Jackson’s BAD25, the deluxe anniversary CD packages and DVD celebrating the pop icon’s album and record breaking world tour are topping global charts, with the DVD of his previously un-released Wembley concert soaring to #1 .

The highly anticipated DVD, ‘Michael Jackson Live at Wembley,’ the first ever released live concert from the legendary BAD tour, debuted at #1 in the United States as well as in most major markets globally. Early chart numbers show the BAD25 CD at the top of international charts in countries including Japan (#2), Spain (#2), Germany (#4), France (#5), Hong Kong (#5), Korea (#5), the United Kingdom (#6), Holland (#6), Austria (#10), Belgium (#10) with many more to come.

The ‘Michael Jackson Live At Wembley’ DVD, which is available both as a stand-alone product as well as in the deluxe BAD25 anniversary box, provides a rare glimpse of one complete and thrilling show from Michael’s legendary Bad Tour – the July 16, 1988 concert just as he performed it for Prince Charles, Princess Diana, and the other 72,000 screaming fans in attendance. The DVD was sourced from Michael’s own VHS copy of the performance, providing watchers with the same on-stage view they would have experienced watching the Jumbotrons had they been at Wembley that memorable evening. This footage was only recently unearthed from Michael’s personal archives, and is the only copy of the show known to exist. The visuals have been restored and the audio is derived from the multitrack recordings from that night to provide 5.1 surround sound so that fans can share in experiencing the excitement of Michael’s historic first solo tour.

Entertainment Weekly’s ‘A’ rated review of BAD25 calls it “a potent reminder of just how much Bad’s pulsing pop holds up”. BAD25 is a 2-disc CD. The first CD consists of the re-mastered original 1987 album which features some of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits, including “Smooth Criminal”, “Man In The Mirror” and the title track, “Bad” as well as “Leave Me Alone”, a bonus track on the original 1987 CD version of the album. The second CD, containing 13 tracks, offers fans a rare listen to six previously unreleased demo recordings created in Michael’s personal Hayvenhurst studio and bonus tracks including a never-before released French version of the classic “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” and a brand new remix of “Bad,” the fruit of an electrifying collaboration between Pitbull and DJ Afrojack. The BAD25 deluxe anniversary edition includes the Wembley concert DVD as well as a third CD, the first ever solo Michael Jackson live album! It is from the same legendary July 16, 1988 concert at Wembley Stadium.

Award winning director Spike Lee has also created a critically hailed documentary of the BAD album and tour. Airing in the U.S. on ABC this Thanksgiving, his BAD25 documentary marks the first ever in-depth, behind the scenes film project to chronicle a Michael Jackson album. Recently screened at the Venice Film Festival, the Hollywood Reporter calls it “a sensational snapshot of the peak of the music video as art form, as well as the intricately layered process by which superior pop is crafted. More poignantly, it serves to remove the veil of late-period craziness and allegations and restore the reputation of Jackson as a multihyphenate musician of peerless discipline, professionalism and perfectionism.”

That's the greatest thing about Mjs music, that it sounds so timeless at times. He has some of the most beautiful melodies in his music, I wish he could have done music for movies and I want his latest work to be released, because I read that he made some classical / jazz type of music in 2009.

I've really been in a huge Michael mood lately and I'm kinda listening to all of his albums right now except for "Michael". I bought it when it came out, listened to it once and was like nahh, im not really feeling this at all. It really kinda depressed me. My ? is: Are there any saving graces on that album at all, what are some standout tracks, is it even worth revisting.

Thanks

standout tracks on michael? I would say behind the mask, another day and much too soon are the strongest, and that's saying a lot. Behind the mask sounding the most michaelish to me....when I first heard breaking news, I felt he was dead cause I didn't know if it was him or not though I knew deep down it wasn't and didn't want to admit what they could have possibly pulled. I know his voice like the back of my hand, and listening to faking news was the biggest mindfuck the estate has ever pulled. It hurt so much not being sure, like another death all over again ugh, and felt they were doing that to mess with fans

Behind the mask and Another day аrе great tracks.

But, unfortunately, they were shaded by weak and mediocre fake rest of the songs .. confused

+ these are songs that were already known to the public and Lenny could spoil Another day, the first version of the song was much more interesting.

Bad 25 № 1 in the official album chart of Italy.

But I'm still a little disappointed with the positions of the album in charts. For Michael Jackson not topped the charts in France, Spain and Germany - a disaster, he has a very loyal audience in these countries, but ... (Spain #2, Germany #4, France #5). disbelief

Keep Your Head Up (though I like this song despite who sings it), Monster, Faking News

I've heard rumors that hollywood tonight and hold my hand has some fake vocals too but I doubt that, but still, though I listened to the album for awhile, I can't anymore and when I had a chance to give my extra copy away as a gift to someone, something made me change my mind last minute, and I knew it was cause I didn't want them to think michael sucked based on this shit.

I liked the original another day too, I hope lenny releases it.

As for not topic the charts in those countries, it's cause of overexposure I imagine, and little kids not buying music but illegally downloading or something. I'm glad they did chart that high though.

Broken Chair

D.I.E.

Dont Make Me Stay

H20

Lady of Summer

Red Eyer (not the dangerous era song)

Silent Spring

Water.

(these are just the ones that we know of)

Purchased the Bad 25 box set. WOW! I feel refreshed by the entire content.

The live concert DVD is great - The only complaint is Sheryl Crow's weak un-soulful voice. Siedah Garrett and Michael singing this song was classic and they had great chemistry.

Bonus Material - These songs all are a gift because it showcases MJ's voice and style matured.

New season....new music...new life.

Always in are hearts, loving Michael Jackson!!

Critics lauded "Bad25" when it debuted on September 18 commemorating the 25th anniversary of Michael's album that changed pop music history.

Entertainment Weekly gave Bad25 an "A," saying it is "a potent reminder of just how much "Bad's pulsing pop holds up." The Houston Chronicle called Bad25 "a layered, loving tribute" while the Seattle Post Intelligencer called Bad25 "a positively electrifying celebration of this often underrated album."

Of the DVD of Michael's 1988 Wembley concert from the landmark "Bad" tour included in the deluxe package, the Huffington Post compared it to "the equivalent of the Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1965" but added, "make no mistake: , Jackson's performance here eclipses even his most talented predecessors."

Hollywood Tonight is 100% legit. The demo confirms that.

I would say that is the highlight of the Michael album for me. This song had so much potential - it has a killer hook and is vintage sounding MJ. I would say it is stronger than any of the uptempos on Invincible.

How on earth can there be fake vocals on HMH? That song was around years before MJ passed.

Don't let the fake Cascio shit smear the name of perfectly good and legitimate MJ songs.

The Cascio controversy has people questioning everything that comes out now. I've seen "Best Of Joy" called fake multiple times on the internet, as well as "Hollywood Tonight". I've also heard people debating whether the new songs on Bad 25 are real or fake.

I think the MICHAEL album is garbage.. Michael made some good songs, but the producers did an awful job of "finishing" them, which is something that they never should have done anyway. "Hollywood Tonight" and "Behind The Mask" could have been classics, but they both sound too overproduced. I hope the untouched demos get released eventually.

As is, "The Way You Love Me" is my favorite track on the album, and it was already released as an untouched demo on The Ultimate Collection. I like both versions. Remixing it for MICHAEL was unnecessary, but it was the best produced track on the album, imo.
