This is like a soft porn.

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

'She Drive Me Wild'

Yeah, nothing to do with BAD25!

Interesting jam this. Very underrated, I love the car parts being slammed, hit, and whirred. Is every part of this song a noise from a car? Is there much info on who's idea this was.

It's very creative, but probably been done before (i don't know though). It's not a song i've spoiled by listening to it too much.

Anyone else dig this?

One of my all time favourite MJ jams. So hot and funky. I love it too. I was listening to it just yesterday. biggrin

From what I recall reading, teddy riley had a disk or something full of samples of different car sounds, and on a keyboard too and michael went crazy over that, so they made a track around it. It was in an interview teddy did, maybe for VIBE, can't recall right now.

Yup, great track. 1991 through to 2001 is my fave MJ era. His most interesting and creative work was done in that period.

Shame about the picture quality but that's my only fault with it. Brilliant performance indeed. Tight band too!

crazy band, loved them and all the tunes they played

I think the picture quality was just a little funny in the beginning, but after awhile it didn't bug me at all, I think most of us forgot how our tapes used to be after watching them many times when we have all this HD and bluray material out now

When I get home Ill look in the Man In The Music book, its very descriptive of the recording processes of each tune.

That's a great book, it doesn't say much about She Drives Me Wild though, unfortunately.

It says that the rhythm track was made up of car horns, sirens, engines, slamming doors and other "street" noises,

and that even the bass was a car horn, but it doesn't go into any further detail.

Thanks PP4, I've got the book, don't think i didn't look! lol .

Any MJ fan should have it really, it is really that great. Almost as much as they should have his entire available back catalogue.

IMO.smile

Emancipation89

Finally watched the DVD and listened to the CDs! Previously unreleased songs are to be honest not as great as I thought they were gonna be (was definitely expecting something like Fly Away or Streetwalker)but I agree with a lot of you guys 'Al Capone' sounds great. (Can't compare this to Smooth Criminal though lol) And I love 'Free' also - that classic youthful, innocent MJ sound. I'll give these songs another listen this weekend.

Oh btw I may be the only one but I think I like Pitbull remix more than Speed Demon remix. (I listened to these remixes before I got the CDs) Heard it again at a bar and me & my friends all thought it was catchy as hell and it definitely made us giggle. Though we were all wasted at the time...still not THAT bad...I think :]

Disc 3 Live audio - as much as I was skeptical about MJ releasing a live CD (because I always thought, what's the point, he sounds the same live anyways and even the arrangement is pretty much the same?), I'm actually glad they decided to release audio. It makes sense really as a whole box set to include this. Though..I think his vocals sound even better from NY Madison Square garden show.

Wembley DVD - I think it was a good choice although I was really hoping to get the NYC one. *I'll never get over it* I mean Wembley, the biggest stadium in the world (I think?) with Princess Diana attending - sure it's great gimmick but the fact that Wembley stadium is waay too gigantic kinda bothers me. I know it sounds weird but I think Yokohama/kansas/NY all these shows are more intimate and thats just what I personally prefer. lol.

But overall very happy with the DVD and CDs^^ when I was watching the DVD there were so many moments that made me go Gosh, what would I give to actually be there in the crowd...='(

Only 2 months till the Bad25 documentary airs on TV...and only 4 more freaking years for Dangerous 25....*sigh*
