Your favorite artists from SWEDEN

Lots of great music from this country. Which Swedish music artists are your favorites?

Roxette, they continue to still record cool albums especially the new one!

The Cardigans

The Soundtrack of Our Lives - though I haven't listened to them in a very long time, I do remember liking Behind the Music a lot.

I've only heard one album by Dungen, and it's been years since I've listened to it but I remember really, really liking it. I picked up that album after Anxiety raved about them a few timese here if I remember correctly.

Yngwie's Swedish, right? He had a track titled "I am a Viking" and that has to be one of the most perfectly unironic Spinal Tap-invoking heavy metal song names ever. It's 25 years later and that still makes me giggle, so he deserves an honour roll mention.

I never got into the Cardigans for no good reason at all. They seem tailor-made for me and yet... I should at least invest in a greatest hits comp.

I used to have the Behind the Music album. I loved the song "Sister Surround", but eventually sold the disc because nothing much else grabbed me.

Ten years later, "Sister Surround" still sounds great. Sometimes I sell albums that don't immediately click a little too hastily.

There are three or four other tracks I really like on that record (behind the music), but yeah, that song is definitely the highlight. Instant Repeater '99 was a big favourite of mine as well.

It's cool to see many people know artists like Veronica Maggio & Lykke Lii, but sweden has more succesful music producers than artists. To the person who mentioned Yngwie , yes he's swedish... Roligt att se att många uppskattar svensk musik lol. lol
