The latest albums by Usher? Smashing Pumpkins? Lana Del Rey? I want to see what 2012 releases you guys like the most.

I know half of the replies will be "none". lol

It's been a boring year for popular music to me; most of my favorites so far are things I've found on Bandcamp and in Timmy's new music thread.. even then, the best stuff was from last year. There's still many album I've yet to hear that I'm interested in, but some of my favorites so far:

The Beach Boys That's Why God Made The Radio

James Apollo Little War, Little Less (EP)

Joe Young Race The Sunset

Jeff Beam Be Your Own Mirror

Manic City Jealous Girl (EP)

Malynda Hale The Train Ride Home

This is the only album that I've bought that is a new music release, and not old albums.

A CD came with this, but I haven't listened to it, since it's just the audio of some songs from the DVD:

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Van Halen's new album, Esperana's Radio Music Society and Smashing Pumpkin's Oceania. Can't wait for Bad 25, Greenday's 3 new albums and hopefully our buddy Prince will release a new album aswell. Oh, wait, R. Kelly's new album is dope too.

The Pierces album was released in the U.K. last year then finally in the states this past March. Regina's new album is currently #11 on my list. That could change with more listens.
