Maybe they should've been on an old school line up? I've even seen one hit wonders on the bill for those. Surely they could've done something like that? They put a lot of the old groups together for these summer festivals. It would've been best if they were one of many, instead of trying to do this on their own.

I think a "package tour" would have been their best bet. They should have gone on a big tour with other R&B acts...maybe even play a few festivals?

so which is it? a few days ago, it was "we're cancelling b/c we're still working on our album, and we want to put it out first before we go on tour". now it's "we're rescheduling b/c of scheduling conflicts". (moreover, jackie says in the article that they're going to work on the album *after* the tour.)

oh brother! i'm with soul alive; there will be more cancellations. have they done any t.v. promotion that would want people want to go out to see the show? isn't that what usually happens? you go on t.v. to perform and leno/letterman/fallon says something like 'our next guests will opening their tour on june 20 in canada, blah, blah, blah' and that's how people know about your tour? have they forgotten that?

if (when) this doesn't come off, i never, ever, ever want to see jermaine's face on t.v. talking about touring ever again. not ever.

There was a rumor that said they were on Leno's show last month, guess that wasn't true. Other than that, they haven't promoted this tour at all.

also goin' on a package tour or an R&B concert festival would hurt their already bruised up pride and egos. Papa Joe's and Mama Kate's boys can't stand to be looked on as second tier just because they think they're Michael's brothers. lol

So true nod lol The Jacksons think they're God's gift to the world.Going on tour with several other artists is beneath them.

lol did she really say that?

she stated that on Larry King and 106 & PArk when promoting her Discipline Album

I can't see why she would wanna sabotage her own career by aligning herself with a tour like that lol

I said it wouldn't work and got alotta hate for my comment, but the majority of people don't or won't see them now that Mike is gone. I agree they need to get their asses off their shoulders and join an old school tour.

didn't janet said back in 2008 whenever they decided to do a reunion tour that she was going to open up for them? lol

lol did she really say that?

Yes, but I don't see why that's funny.

Michael is a bigger star than Janet, and therefore would be the headliner...

An artist of Janet's stature should not be opening for anybody. That's why I think it's funny/absurd that she would even suggest that.

I agree. Michael is much bigger than Janet of course but I dont think she should open up for them... but I guess maybe it was her way of saying she would participate with them on tour.

Not too far-fetched, Janet doesn't give herself credit for being around for so long...she claims she was surprised to be referred to as a legend by someone one time, and she was being dead serious.

I was expecting some major turbulence but the way it's happening is enough to go "man..." lol But yeah he pretty much was "The Jacksons".

Exactly.

I'm sure she was being serious, but then again, she is overly-humble sometimes with her opinion of herself. She wouldn't have gone through with it though.

Their Detroit, St. Louis, D.C. shows were canceled too and some others.

Well hell! If they cannot sell out the 5000 seat Fox Theatre in the heart of MOTOWN, they may as well call it a day.

That's just it. These are her brothers. It has nothing to do with what the fans think.

If she chooses to open for them then so be it. Even she had some shows cancelled

on her last tour. I agree with some of the comments like them doing an older r&b tour

with other bands and even Jermaine can get his ass out their and tour with some of

his own hits. Like Soul mentioned other artists with less hits are out on the road.

I believe she only cancelled two australia dates, because of the trial.

Unless my memory has failed me, which it usually does.

Did anyone ever believe that she did/does have the migrane illness?

I mean, wouldn't it have cost more to cancel a 85% sold-out show, a couple of days before, than to peform to an - 15% maximum-capacity crowd.

I do remember Janet saying something like that. I wouldn't see a problem with her opening the show. I mean, they're all brothers and sisters and I think it would've been a great way for Janet to sorta say "thank you".

Since MJ is gone, that thought shouldn't even be in her head now (no shade to teh brothers)

Ironically,Janet didn't even seem to care about her brothers when she was riding high lol For example,in 1990 when she launched her 'Rhythm Nation' tour, she chose Chuckii Booker to be her opening act. This was at a time when her own brother Randy had his group (Randy and the Gypsys) and was struggling for success. He could have used that opening slot on a major tour like that.

I agree nod To be honest,The Jacksons were over after Triumph.By that point,no one was paying attention to them anymore.People were strictly focused on Michael.Seriously, how many people went to the Victory tour to see and hear Randy,Marlon and Tito? lol I always say that Mike should have just done a solo 'Thriller' world tour in 1984.It would have been MASSIVE.
