I knew this trick was trouble the minute she came on the scene. You could smell it from miles away.

Chilli's somewhere laughing her ass off.

I think everyone but Ursha read the writing on the wall but his dumbass had on his damn reflector shades so he didn't see it. disbelief

As far as Chili, I think she laughed when he decided to marry that hooker, but now, she may not even be thinking about him. shrug

Not that I really care, but Usher couldve wifed up any dime piece but he chose Ms Ug-mugg. When I first saw this chick, I thought she was a drag queen.

How did Usher diss Chili? Was he caught cheating? I heard that he writes about his own life and experiences so Confession was based on real events. Is this their break up story?

Usher reminds me of Britney in a lot of ways as far as relationships and the idea of being in love rather than just being in love. You latch onto anybody just for the sake of saying you have somebody, even if it's trash like Tameka & Kevin. And when your family & friends tell you beware the rebuttle is, "I"m grown, I could do what the hell I want to do."

Yes, but to fire your mom over something like this and other business matters is wrong. His mom was there when he was singing The Mack and even though folks don't wanna admit it-his mom was right about Tameka. That really hurt his mother. She has been asked about it and always declines to speak on it and you can see it in her face that the situation hurt her feelings.

Actually, when Usher fired his mom his career went downhill. Yes Raymond vs Raymond was successful, but it was drama driven lol

Tameka encouraged him to fire his mother and that fool listened to her neutral

Then he tried to clean the shit up by saying he "retired her." You don't treat moms like that and expect to be blessed.

re tameka telling him to fire his mom, she should have stayed out of it. But as to him marrying tameka, his mom should have stayed out of that. Moms, esp, for whatever reason, moms of boys, tend to dislike who their kids marry a lot of times. Sometimes, it's jealousy. My great gran never liked, my grandma, yet she and my grandpa were happily married till death. So mom is not always right

From someone whose mother has been gone for 34 years-No comment. Folks need to cherish their moms while they have them including Usher. One marries another, but the love of a good mother to child should never just be thrown aside.

Giving my two cents without taking sides....

Yes its true, mothers do give their opinions on the different decisions that their children make, especially when it comes to who their kids choose to date and/or marry. Sometimes the opinons are welcomed, sometimes they are asked for and sometimes people just need that "approval" from their mom that they are choosing the right person. Is it butting into the personal business of their son/daughter? Of course but that's just what parents do....BUT it's okay to disagree. My mom gives her opinion with me but she doesn't FORCE it on me. She lets me know this is how she thinks on the matter and then lets it go for me to make my own decision.

On the flip side, I totally get what Nurse is saying as well...life is way too short to be putting folks ahead of your parents. It also shows how much of a jelly fish backbone you have to be listening to your spouse as far as making decisions that involve your own blood. I think what Nurse is trying to say, IMO, is that despite if Ursha's mom didn't like Tameka, he should have still respected her opinion and still respected MOM over Tameka. I'm not saying he should had broken up with Tameka because his mommy said so, I'm saying that some of the decisions he made after getting with Tameka that negatively impacted his mother could have possibly been dealt with in a better way...because after all, people are here and could be gone tomorrow just like that.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

So true... Life is just to short. When you get married, for a man they tend to latch on more to their wives and lend to them for advice but that doesnt mean you forget about your flesh and blood. If Tameka really loved Usher I dont think she would have told him to fire his mom, if anything she would have said maybe you should try talking to her but then again I dont know the full story with what happened.

When the rubber meets the road, mom and dad is the one that has your back regardless...

You can't put your parent above your spouse. To quote the bible, a man leaves his parents and cleaves to his wife. When you marry, your loyalty is to your spouse and kids

I didn't come in here to have a bible discussion in regards to Ursha's situation...so therefore I don't think you should bring the bible into this, for one, you are inaccurately quoting it and for two, the thread will be moved to P&R.

As a person who lost my father 11 years ago, I'm not silly enough to let some man come into my life and get stuck on stupid catering to them about every single thing, including issues or decisions with my parents. Yes when you get married or whatever, you are supposed to compromise but that in no way means that you are just supposed to forget about your parents and/or dismiss their opinions. There is still such a thing as RESPECTING your parents still even after you get married to whoever you choose. As I said before, there's nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree with your parents and keep it moving, but to just push them to the side when you take on a spouse? That's just stupid.
