On CNN tonight at 9pm and again at 12am on Piers Morgan Tonight Katherine Jackson is being interviewed.

Katherine Jackson on Conrad Murray: "For a person's life, four years in jail is not enough"

Coming up tonight at 9 p.m., Piers Morgan invites Katherine Jackson into the studio for a candid and revealing face to face interview.

Joining "Piers Morgan Tonight" for an hour long, worldwide exclusive, Michael Jackson's mother addresses her son's legal troubles and prescription medication use, evaluating the role each may have played in the stars 2009 death:

"I think a lot of that was exaggerated, about the different things that he was taking, because I've been to my son's house unannounced and I've been there announced," explains the 82-year-old matriarch. "I have never seen him in that way. I know he was taking painkillers, because he got burnt on the top of his head. Very painful. But all this other stuff they added to it, I don't know if that was the truth or not. But I don't think that have anything to do with the way he died."

Asked by the host about Conrad Murray, Jackson struggles to find the proper words:

"You know what, I can't even describe the way I feel about him. He did a terrible thing," she says of the "King of Pop's" former personal doctor. "For a person's life, four years in jail is not enough. I'll never see my son again. But he can get out and he'll enjoy his children."

interesting. aeg claims that in their depositions, katherine and two of her sons stated that mj had a long history of substance abuse, resulting in several interventions.

so which is it? it's an exaggeration and you've never seen him 'in that way', meaning i guess, 'drugged out' or you and your sons witnessed and perhaps instigated interventions?

whatever the truth, they're going to lose this lawsuit.

i don't what paris is referencing specifically, however i find her comments more bittersweet than sweet.

she's a child that clearly has no idea that her mother saw her father as a source of income, nothing else. i say that based on the woman's actions. i'm sure one day she'll find out. i feel so sorry for his kids.

That is interesting. I didnt watch the Oprah interview she did in 2010, but did she also talk about his drug use in that interview or did she say something along the same lines as she said to Piers here?

I don't think that Debbie did this just for money. If that was the case, she had million of other opportunities to make more, by writing a book, selling stories, giving "revealing" interviews etc. I think some of Jackson family members and other "friends" and collegues have tried to make more money off him than she has. Seriously, how many people around Mike have not written a book, given interviews or made a documentary? There are very few of them and she definately is one of the most discreet ones and that's definitely something Mike would surely appreciate. I think he could have ended with a much worse mother for his children than her. She always spoke of him with respect and she supported him when he needed her most (during court).

Someone has recently posted this on KOP board. Not that there would be anything new, but the comparison is very interesting. Lisa comes out of it as a greater bitch, even though I am sure that she probably regrets things she said in the past and that she has played that stupid media game. To me, Debbie comes across as genuine and interestingly she handled the media better than someone who has lived with them all their life.

i didn't see the oprah thing either, but from what i recall from other posters, katherine stated that she believed that mj *was* an addict, who denied it when she asked him about it. she said he said something to the effect, 'my own mother doesn't believe me'.

again, which is it? going back to '07, you may recall there were all sorts of rumors in the news that mj was so hard up he was practically 'nodding out' in vegas, and the family was attempting interventions.

but then katherine and most of the brothers released a statement saying that mj *wasn't* a drug addict and there were no interventions. they signed their names to it.

THEN, when he dies, most of the family are in the news giving interviews claiming that mj was a 'hardcore' - to use janet's term - addict who the family had been trying to get clean for years.

NOW, katherine is on piers morgan talking about 'exaggerations'.

TODAY, aeg got the civil trial pushed back because they want to depose all of mj's siblings and apparently - surprise, surprise - they are having trouble getting cooperation from them.

i just don't see how aeg loses this lawsuit.

they weren't in the house with mj and murray, so how can the family hold them accountable, especially when the family claims that THEY weren't successful in getting mj the help, they claimed he needed? moreover, katherine and her sons are on record saying that mj wasn't an addict. so why have they changed their stories and to what end?

Thank you Kibbles, thats what I thought too and I remember reading that "my own mother doesnt believe me" line too somewhere. So she told Piers something totally opposite of what she told Oprah back in 2010. Guess I shouldnt be surprised. And I remember that statement the family put out to the media with their signatures on it. But after he died they were singing a different tune rolleyes Yeah just read that the AEG trial got pushed back to April 2013!

you and i will have to agree to disagree.

one, debbie's statement to the sta barbara police dept. painted mj in the worst possible light. i believe the word she used was "sociopathic" to describe him. as i was at work during the trial, i relied on the generous sharing of actual court documents posted at mjjc in 2005. when she took the stand, yes, she recanted those statements, but one of the posters who reported from inside the chamber stated that meseareau pulled out a huge binder with her name on it, and when she saw that, she must have known her ass was grass.

two, after the trial, she picked up her vendetta. do you not remember her lawyer on larry king accusing mj of kidnapping prince and paris? that she reported him to the state department?

three, after his death, she went to court to make sure that she continued to receive her spousal support payments which she wrangled out of mj, which were beyond what a non-custodial parent could ever have hoped to have received. why is that, dag? do you think there wasn't some form of implied blackmail on her part in doing that? a little 'you wanna keep those kids, you better cough up some more dough' on her part? why would she need to sell her stories? she's getting paid.

four, she's good friends with marc shaffel, a sleazeball who lied about mj in open court. after mj's death, she accompanied marc to japan where they were hawking a 'documentary' about mj. you don't think she got a little back end off of that? she's undermining her own daughter's rightful inheritance by helping marc to exploit mj's image and likeness, something that mj left for his executors to do. if she had any love in her heart for paris, she wouldn't be doing this shit.

so yeah, i vehemently disagree with you about debbie, and i'm sorry that paris has such a duplicitous woman to call 'mother'. mj's life was a walking tragedy.

I have never heard or am not aware of the highlighted stuff. If that's true, than yes, I would have to agree with you.

Do you know where I could find these court documents from 2005? I remember reading transcripts back then on KOP board. I don't know if they were complete. And I haven't had much time since his death to go real deep in some affairs regarding Mike.

One has to feel sorry about MIke. He truly couldn't trust anyone, not even his family. The LMP video that I posted earlier about her finding out that everyone around her was using her and how she just had to totally run away from it all, imagine it all magnified by million in MJ's case cause compared to her cause she's still a "small fish" even though she is Elvis' daughter. It's a pity Mike is not alive and that they have not met now cause I think she is in a state today where she has found herself and would be more understanding to him. Maybe they would be finally both mature enough to make it work.

Debbie Rowe is a complicated person in her own right lmao...She's a really strange person... I think that at first she was kinda obsessed with Mike and when she finally had the chance to give him what he needed, she did whatever he told her even tho Mike had no feelings for her whatsoever. People used to say Debbie had her room filled with Michael pictures and would always talk about him to people, however after the divorce they kinda fell out and she was kinda mean towards him. Like Kibbles says, that story of Michael kidnapping the kids was just out of the water, why did she want to say that? Perhaps because she got greedy and wanted more money. I think certain women, thought MJ loved them or cared for them more than he actually did and hence they felt as if he was decieving them when he left without saying anything.

LMP and Michael were a good couple at one point, but they were different and not mature enough. I mean LMP had just divorced Dany(I dont know if I remember the name correctly) and Mike had recently been with this other black girl (that the world knew nothing about but it's talked bout in the Glenda tapes & other friends.) So to me, I think Mike just wanted to have be with someone and eventually fell in love with her, that would also explain why they were on breaks and then got back together. This could also explain why LMP was so harsh and hurt afterwards when Mike got tired of the situation and eventually stoped talking to her.

The family have so many different stories to everything, it's hard to believe them. Sometimes I think the Motown tactic of lying to please the masses kinda destroyed the family in a sense, let me explain lmao. I think that all of the family got used to lie and say something and then when asked individually they would say something else that was benefitial for themselves or for monetary reasons. Mike always seemed to be the craziest, but when you look at the family history , like Jermaine getting with Randys wife and all the other crazy stories, Mike doesnt seem as bad.

Maybe they would be finally both mature enough to make it work.

i don't know how to access the former mjjc archives which i think are at mjjforum. but i found a link to a bbc story that talks about how debbie described mj in her police statement which directly contradicted the 'loving' picture she painted of him on the stand.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/h...511071.stm

believe me, the police statement that i read at the mjjc site was FAR worse.

here is a link to the tmz story about debbie and marc:

http://www.tmz.com/2010/0...son-tokyo/

so as you can see, there is a MAJOR PROBLEM with ms. rowe, and i only hope that since prince and paris are computer savvy and connected, they will see some this stories, and ask information about their father from people like tom meseareau who can give them the straight dope, good, bad or indifferent about their dad. at least what tom says will be coming from a place of honesty, which rowe knows nothing about. wink

on edit: i tried to find a report about debbie's lawyer on larry king, but i could only find references to the story which was originally reported on tmz:

http://today.msnbc.msn.co...-children/

the children had been living with mj all their lives, and after the trial mj understandably left the usa to escape the fallout of his acquittal. but instead of giving him space, all debbie could do was accuse him of kidnapping - exactly what the arvisos did. i'm sorry but i will never have a kind thing to say about her. she's exactly like all the rest.

^ That's why I was shocked what she said at the man's trial. The girl was a prosecution witness.

exactly, timmy. she wasn't always supportive of mj and no, she didn't treat him with respect, as dag believes. she wasn't on the DEFENSE witness list b/c mesereau knew what her statements to the police were. if anything, her 'support' at the trial was an absolute wash. who would believe anything she had to say about mj or anything else if she would say those things to the police, and then get up on the stand and completely disavow them? what kind of game was she playing? and what game is she playing now with these kids?

Still unconfirmed but looks like it is true. I Just Can't Stop Loving You will be released as a single in June to promote Bad 25 with unreleased song "Don't Be Messin' Around" as a bonus track.

One website lists that I just can't stop loving you single would include a new song

I can't really go in on Debbie Rowefor any of the random comments she made about MJ as a person - remember, we didn't actually know him, what he could be like in private life is pretty much anybody's guess, a lot of people aren't as they seem.

To me the only issue is if she told the police he molested kids or something. Now, if she said something like that then yeah, that's different, but barring all that, then I'm not going to sit here and pass judgment on her personal assessment of him as a man because she might've had a damn good reason for saying what she did.

yes, there is always a good reason for telling the police one thing and then getting up in court and saying another. just as there's a good reason for calling someone a sociopath, as long as you say he didn't molest children.

please.

What was (or wasn't) said in court I don't know and I wasn't commenting on that.

I didn't monitor the case to the extent that you apparently did. I had a life.

What I AM saying is, she had (and has) every right to think what she wants of him as a person. She doesn't have to like him just because YOU do. You're a fan. You didn't know him personally, she did. Like I said, there could be things that we don't know about that he did that made her feel that way about him.

So, yeah - she has every right to say she thinks he's a sociopath, a shithead or whatever. That's between them. But as long as she doesn't go as far as accusing him of illegal shit he didn't do, serious shit like molesting a kid, why the fuck do you care?

She doesn't have to kiss his ass and worship him just because YOU dig him. And it's easy to adore and think the best of someone you don't actually know anyway.

I don't see how that's inherently contradictory.

Maybe he was a shitty, sociopathic person to HER, but was a great dad at the same time.

And just because she had personal issues or beef with him, doesn't mean she wanted to see him rot in a jail cell for some serious shit he didn't do.

So really I don't see what's all that hypocritical about her bitching about him but then saying positive shit, because frankly, everybody has good and bad to them.

If anything it sounds more honest than just saying he was all bad or that he was some angel or something.

I think a lot of times MJ fans just aren't satisfied unless everybody else is referring to MJ as a deity-figure, because they see him that way.
