Interesting find. Why only Austraila? It's almost like Got The Hots only being included in Japan.

Nah, I doubt they would add a current artist to a song like Don't Go Messing Around. Good to see there is finally some action going on with this project. DGMA has my hopes up.

I hope you are right! biggrin Be warned it is a 5" CD single. (In my experience it still fits in my MacBook Pro so I'll be happy as long as it has "Don't Go Messin Around.")

Here is the link to buy it. It is only $19 after international shipping. (Only like $5 for the CD itself)

http://www.sanity.com.au/products/2210951

It says it will be released in a month so hopefully they won't do a last minute track-listing swap or I'll be pissed.

^ If this is true, then excited

But $20 is too much for a CD single.. I'll just wait 'til it reaches YouTube or somewhere similar. I'm guessing the song will eventually show up on an album (maybe the Bad reissue).. it would be odd to release a new song and not try to give it a standard, worldwide release. That would just encourage people to steal it.

i think it would be cool if they released each single (all nine of them) on vinyl like they would have done in 87, with the original single sleeve art..and include an outtake on each b side.. for example:

IJCSLY (side a) Dont Go Messin Around (side b)

Smooth Criminal (side a) Al Copone (side b)

Liberian Girl (side a) Pyramid Girl (side b)

TWYMMF (side a) Hot Fever (side b)

Bad (side a) Price of Fame (side b)

Another Part of Me (side a) Bumper (side b)

Man in the Mirror (side a) Buffalo Bill (side b)

Dirty Diana (side a) Tomboy (side b)

Leave Me Alone (side a) A Pretty Face (side b)

and then for the actual albums re release, put all the outtakes (the ones released as bsides, and the others)on a "special edition" or something..

Color of my soul

Eatin'n Alive

What You Do To Me

Turning Me Off

Neverland Landing

Throwin' Your Life Away

Buffalo Bill

Bumper

Al Capone

Chicago 1945

Hot Fever

Price of Fame

Tomboy

Pyramid Girl

A Pretty Face

is that going to happen? Probably not... but i would love for it too.

thank you Vanilli!

the only thing about the release of Dont be messin around is that there are two versions.. one was recorded around the bad era, this version michael actually plays piano on!! excited and bruce swedien says "the unreleased ballad could rank as his greatest work ever" and that it is "just beautiful...oh my god, theres nothing like it."

and then there is a reworked version from the dangerous sessions, which is not a "fast pace" song persay, but its most certaintly not a ballad..

im just wondering which they will use, you would think the bad era one.. but you never know. t

there is also this snippet of the song, i would assume its from the reworked dangerous sessions one because it doesnt sound like a ballad much.

I haven't heard MJ's part of the song, but Run DMC recovered a reel labelled "Crack (For Michael Jackson)" and released it as a bonus track on their reissued 1988 album.

^ That's the problem. The Estate wants to milk what they have as long as they can. But for what? The generation that MJ touched the most isn't going to be around forever. Just release the damn material you have, the best way that can be done.

I wonder how good some of the outtakes are, like Don't Be Messin' Around. If Bruce Swedien was right, and this song is an amazing piece, why not release it as a single? And could it technically be the 6th #1 off BAD if it were released and reached the top?

but we would though, think about it.. michael has well over 100 unreleased songs (and im talking thats the very minimum) they could release an album each year with 12-15 unheard songs on there.. they have 80 hours of michael jackson rehearsing for his COMEBACK TOUR! Michaels final days, on tape! that right there is a gem. they could release a concert dvd for each tour..maybe even two.. they could release things like footage of michael working in the studio.. and rehearsals from other tours.. they could release SOOOO MUCHHH each year, and would keep the fans happy.. for some reason they think that the mass public is very interested in michaels unheard work, (some are) but 99.9% that are is the fans like us... so why the fuck wouldnt you just give it to US!! instead of trying to get him on the radio or make him appeal to the younger generation... his music and his legacy will live on, you dont have to make an effort for it to do so.. HE IS MICHAEL JACKSON DAMN IT!!!

(sorry...the estate or whoever is running michaels releases REALLY pisses me off...)

and if bad 25 only consist of nicki minage and will i am remixes and 2 or 3 outtakes on a rinky dinky plastic cased cd.. and if the next album is like the michael album, i will protest... i dont know how, but i will mad

I agree. We should get a new album of unreleased music every year, but at the same time, we don't know what songs are in Sony/Estate's possession. The die hard fans (like us) is where the money is. We're the ones that want these records/videos. Trying to cater to radio and post-death fans can only get you so far. 3 years and they've been pretty consistent with the releases, although they haven't been completely satisfactory

Gotta think about what could have been holding up the release of any of the shows (Licenses, copyrights, archivers being less than forthcoming). With Pepsi, the sponsors of the '87-89 tour, on board and the estate going on with releases coinciding with the anniversary of the album and tour, we could see a DVD of the Bad Tour this year and I kinda expect it

We all know Michael seemed to have halted a release of a Triumph tour concert video, he scrapped the home video release of the Victory Tour, and scrapped release of the HIStory tour on VHS so he had a history of scrapping releases of his shows lol

Also, when it comes to Destiny, Triumph, and Victory Tours, I'd also look at the brothers because they could be holding up any potential releases to those

A lot of people seem to want this, but as Bruce and Quincy stated, there were very little to NO outtakes from the Bad session. The songs that Michael did demos for were scrapped during pre-production. Who knows if he continued to work on them during his off time from the Bad session.

ha, i know what you mean.. i dont think i could sit through an 80 hour film either.. but i think it would be cool if they released it as a set, and had the dvds labeled day by day from the begining rehearsals at (i think it was called center stage, it was small) and then the forum, then staples.. so kind of getting to see the show evolve day by day.. i think it would be cool if they released the creative meetings that michael and kenny, travis, others had discussing the show. but now im just dream talking.. lol

Michael Jackson NEVER ordered his henchmen to murder his brother Randy Jackson ... despite allegations made by MJ's former bodyguard ... this according to a rep for RJ.

Randy's spokesperson tells TMZ ... the allegations made by Matt Fiddes"couldn't be further from the truth ... it's absolutely absurd."

Fiddes told The Sun ... MJ wanted members of his inner circle to shoot Randy during a heated argument regarding a possible Jackson 5 tour. Fiddes claims Michael was on drugs at the time.

But Randy's rep tells us Fiddes is full of crap ... saying, "There's no way in the world that this actually happened."

Randy's rep says the Jackson family is choosing to ignore Matt, rather than engage him in a legal battle, because "it's a non-issue.
