Most people seem to agree with you. There are still good artists out there, but they're just not the most popular ones. And people of all ages listen to terrible music....

I feel you and I always ask the same question.

Most teens/kids rely on what is easily given to them and dont bother to look for other types of music because they dont know any better. I feel if more younger people were expose to different artists and styles it would be better. The media doesnt help because it doesnt want to. It only cares about money and showing what is hot and current.

Why do people complain about other people listening to music that they don't like? I will never understand these kind of threads. Ah well.

I will never understand.

Majoirty of the latest blockbuster albums and films leave me with a lower IQ after watching/listening them.

Yeah.. but people just crying about it EVERYDAY is not doing much

People are going to listen to what they want, i don't listen to hardly anything on radio. but some people will, people have different tastes and some may be seen as shitty.

But you guys REALLY and i had to remember this as well as a past music snob not everyone listening to radio is a musician or knows all about music.

I play instruments, i was in orchestra and know about music theory & how it works... but now everyone does or wants to. Some people just want to dance or something to listen to while they do work.... i love political songs but if someone has a hard ass job they work 13 hours a day. They might not wanna listen to songs by Bob Dylan or Tracy Chapman

Everyone is different, everyone has there own reason for liking certain music and we shouldn't freak out & think less of them based on what they listen to.

Also btw, there have been MANY threads on people trying ot give new music. but all you guys focus on is omg modern music yada yada that u can't check threads for good shit. I posted about this political Hip-Hop rock band Death Grips that had an amazing free mixtape. The only person that responded was Timmy, cause there was a new Rihanna thread, a new Beyonce thread, and a thread similar to this whinning about modern music. You guys say you hate modern artists so much but u go to bash them in threads over & over and can't pay attention to threads TRYING to give you some good modern music or good music in general.

So don't call the cry police on radio, it's your own fault for not looking for good shit especially when people on the org try to give it to ya

There was never a time when music was all "good" or mostly "good" or

"better" than what's out now or before. What you are doing is looking

at music history anachronistically and assuming that something awfully

subjective is self-evident.

In 30 years, the teens listening to the "trash" today will bemoan the quality of

music their own children champion.

Highly agree! some will complain about it being to ''polished''

But those albums had some of the tightest songs Cooper had written in years, and he knew what he was doing. He fully embraced the camp in his image & just went pound for pound.

throughout time people have made good and bad music. you just need to weed out the crap to find the good. if you just sit back and let music come to you and that music is no good then you only have yourself to blame, letting yourself be forced fed shit from the radio and tv and movies. if you want better, you need to find it. it's not hard to find either

think back at your parents. the probably thought that what you were listening to was trash. even way back in the early 70s when bowie was ziggy, imagine what the fuck parents were thinking when their teenage kids were listening to a man wearing makeup and womens clothes. we got the same thing today with a bloke dressed up calling himself lady gaga

You honestly believe there is NO difference from how the music industry was 50 years ago versus how it is today??? You dont have to care about how it has changed but to just suggest there is NO difference is being really really naive. People are just looking and analyzing how the industry use to be. Its not a huge issue. This is a place for discussion of the matter at hand. And I disagree with people of this generations who will become parents will say the same thing. I have grandparents and parents in their 50s and old school to them is50s, 60s and 70s artists.. they think artists like MJ, Prince and Madonna are more new school but they dont think their horrible maybe except for Madonna. They dont keep up with the music out now because they dont care for it... If my mother or grandmother heard Beyonce on the radio they probably wouldnt even recognize her voice let alone recognize its a Beyonce song let alone even know who she is!!!!
