I bought...

Remy Shand, Take A Message Remix

Billy Idol - Shock To The System Single CD/Floppy. eek excited

Jamiroquai - Rock Dust Light Star

Jaco Pastrorius - Word of Mouth

As I've mentioned, I wasn't all that motivated this year... nothing I couldn't live without. I got up early so I wouldn't have to deal with traffic but mostly I browsed, people watched, and Jazz Mart feed me. lol

well i talked to 2 owners of stores here in NYC and trust me there arent many left, but they have been doing this for a long time and they both said despite "the poor weather last year in NYC" this year was not close to last year, it had the loyals coming in but not much to offer, Coldplay had some new stuff and alot of older artists capitalized on things, but even with that it was a let down this year.

Yeah, it was pretty baselined. Most folks I saw were picking up something here or there like myself. I can't see I saw a lot of people walking out the stores with bags or their hands full.

Peeps on here got some nice stuff! I went to Amoeba Records and bought two CDs for my son's b'day! I wish I could store records--there were some great selections there--but I barely have enough room for CDs. LOL The store was packed with people buying--I hope all the record stores had as good a day! wink

West Coast, U.S. of A. Hope you had a good Record Store Day, if in the U.S. wink BTW Amoeba Records has many things that you can't find except on places like E-bay and you can order them off the website and shipping is free! And, no, I don't work for them! lol

So many choices... lol Have you've been playing for long?

I tell you what I've been impressed with those Cort's bass guitars. I was ordering a Cort acoustic a couple of weeks ago and a gent came into store and played a couple of Cort's off the rack. Wow. Let us know what you decided.... pics!!! lol

MadamGoodnight

I went past Amoeba, there was a line in front, and going down the side of the store. Couldn't swing the wait times, but I did go to a small mom and pop wrecka stow later. Nothing new or fancy, but I got EPMD Strictly Business, and Eric B. and Rakim, Paid In Full. I've had both before, but replaced them.
