Brandy To Drop New Single With Chris Brown

Brandy was looking fly in a fringe skirt yesterday while greeting fans outside of ‘Live with Kelly’ for yet another promo appearance. Although Bran and Monica have been attached to the hip while promoting their new single, ‘It All Belongs To Me’, Brandy is gearing up to release her first official single off of her upcoming album, ‘Two Eleven’.

The single is titled ‘Put It Down’ and it’s featuring Chris Breezy!

Just last week, fans of both artists suspected they were in the studio together when Chris tweeted, ‘Brandy is the best female vocalist to me!!!!’ followed by an exchange from Brandy with Se7en from Rich Girlz about just finishing up a song. Now, in an interview with True Exclusives, Brandy dished the tea on the new single while indirectly confirming that Chris Brown is on the track. She also confirmed that it will be released in the next two weeks before her VH1 Behind The Music special which airs on April 19th.

I don’t have a specific date. It’s definitely going to be in two weeks for sure, a little before [behind the music] or simultaneously.

The thing we are working out now is that the single has a feature. It’s both a rapper and singer. Male. But I can say that I was just at my record company the other day and my partner played the updated version of the single with the feature and they are so excited about it. They want it to go to radio like this Friday. That’s how excited they are but the timing is kind of shaky for Friday but that’s how fast they are ready to go.

It’s uptempo. It’s really different. It’s very very different. It’s called ‘Put It Down’.

When asked what it was like to work with Chris who called her the best singer afterward, she replied:

The session was amazing. To work with people that love you and your craft and what you do, it makes the song even better and the experience even better because you are working with people that you love…so I loved it.

Brandy also semi-confirmed that her album has been pushed back to July by just bursting into a ‘how did you know that’ giggle when asked about it. Fans may be a little disappointed by that.

Meanwhile, Monica tweeted her support for Brandy’s new single today after she heard it for the first time:

just heard @4everbrandy single AMAZING, feature HOT, beat BANGING…undeniable smash…. Congrats Bran❤❤❤❤

I'm happy Brandy is back. She has been through a lot & has become under rated. But anything to to take over her family business from Ray J who is over rated...Also glad she is singing with CB he is the man. U can't deny his talent. U are always one hit away from being on top again. No matter what happens to U..Brandy will be back on top just like CB....

She depends too much on collabos... just show you're a serious artist who can sing and make music..

Not true! Most if not all of Brandy's hits were not collabos. Only the ones with Monica & Mase. That is only two boo..

!!!!!!!!

and she doesn't rely on collabo's. BUT right now, she's at a point in her career where she needs a collabo from someone like Chris Brown so it can get that extra push.

Yeah it's been pretty much dead for the past 8-10 years. She keeps trying, I'll give her that.

Awww really?

Give Chris a chance. He sang the hell out of this track from Graffiti. No autotune that I can detect, and you can really feel what he was going through at the time:

U people don't have any clue what raw talent is. Not many can dance & sing like Chris. Even MJ gave him props when he was still here & his daughter is in awe of him. She was in the front row when he performed here in La months ago. But how can i expect anything from clueless people.

I'm not interested in that. I used to like him . but as a woman I won't support him. If others want to go right ahead i'm not going to stop you and others from enjoying him. But i'm not going to and I can choose not to lol. I'm not going to die from not listening to him I have too many other favorites .

That's it in a nutshell right there, and I feel you.

People always say that Chris didn't pay enough for what he did but I disagree.

There's a big swath of people that will NEVER give him the time of day for the rest of his life, and for an entertainer there's no higher price.

Please. Who the hell are you? Simon Cowell. lol If some people don't like his music they

just don't like his music. It has nothing to do with hate. It's cool if you like it but just

because you see it as talent don't mean everyone on the org is suppose to see it that

way. What does MJ giving him props got to do with anything? MJ wasn't Berry Gordy.

Thing is, nothing in Piss Brown's music attracted me to begin with, even before the ass whooping incident.

Nasal voice and crappy material, otherwise I would have no problem separating the music from the man. Hell, I love the music of James Brown & Miles Davis so you know what the deal is. But Chris Brown? What did he do to make me sit down and have an attention span long enough to last beyond the first few seconds of any of his music?

That being said, Brandy can do whatever the hell she pleases shrug I stopped paying attention eversince that reality show.

I do think he's pissing his career away with raunchy R&B and no defineable style (So-so rapping one minute, the already mentioned raunch, to techno then teenybopper ballads). It's enough to divide any audience. He should've gone straight clean-cut pop but I digress.

Brandy?

I've said it a thousand times but yet again, she should never had left her original producer.

Brandy's problem is running behind "whats relevant", I mean, we get it, its "what the charts wants vs music compatibility needs" conflict that so many of these talented singers go through today . But more power to her if she wanna squander her talent.

I'll always remember the toilet clip where she was singing "Change Is Gonna Come", but I'll not hold my breath waiting for some producer to immortalize something like that moment into a record, because I don't think she wants to anyway.

Whoever did her first album.

And I saw that toilet clip too, as well as some others, and I agree someone needs to capture THAT magic on record. Then again like H said I don't even think she wants to go there herself.
