I agree with this.'Clever' is the word I always use for Kanye's 'productions'. He's not a dull or unimaginative sampler like a lot of hip hop 'producers' are, but based on what I've learned in this thread he is definitely a serial sampler. Lol. I'd be lying though if I said that he didn't lose a point or two with me though now that I see how far overboard he's gone with it..jeez. I still like him lyrically though.

Just because I didn't know it was a sample doesn't mean the guy that sampled it "owns it" or "made it his own". He didn't. He took what someone else created and modified it - sure, I get that.

Way to be high and mighty. I'm actually a muscian also. I think the difference here is I embrace technology. Again, sampling is not as easy as it sounds if done in a clever way.

Again, you still have yet to answer how that is just plain "silly". I'll take one of the covers you used for example (I feel for you), you don't think that was an original take on something that someone else created or do you think it was pretty easy because well they didn't create it?
