I think his voice is very suited for what he sings-not sure if it is more than that.

Nope...not by a long shot. However, I will say he has a rather distinctive voice and that popular music is many times done best by those w/ a distinctive rather than a great voice.

One of the greats?

NO.

lol

But it's suited well for the type of music Jamiroquai does, and having seen them live, I can vouch that they put on a great show. In the States, they aren't as famous as they are in Europe, which is a neat thing in that when they do play dates in the US, it's in smaller venues- and small venues is THE way to enjoy a Jamiroquai show. You dance from start to finish and will sweat out your perm. smile

He makes good music, I enjoy hearing his joy and flair. But he isn't any Stevie, who he most reminds me if.

No, he's not a great singer but it doesn't matter because he does something that very few people do these days....he makes good music.

Thanks SoulAlive ... yes, he does sound very much like Stevie Wonder.

I like it; I wouldn't call him one of the greatests singers ever, though..
