Suburbia

Lost in the high street, where the dogs run
Roaming suburban boys
Mother's got a hairdo to be done
She says they're too old for toys
Stood by the bus stop with a felt pen
In this suburban hell
And in the distance a police car
To break the suburban spell

Let's take a ride, and run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia
You can't hide, run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia

Break the window by the town hall
Listen, the siren screams
There in the distance, like a roll call
Of all the suburban dreams

Let's take a ride, and run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia
You can't hide, run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia

I only wanted something else to do but hang around
I only wanted something else to do but hang around
I only wanted something else to do but hang around
I only wanted something else to do but hang around

It's on the front page of the papers
This is their hour of need
Where's a policeman when you need one
To blame the colour TV?

Let's take a ride, and run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia
You can't hide, run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia

Take a ride, and run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia
You can't hide, run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia

Run with the dogs tonight
In Suburbia
You can't hide
In Suburbia
In Suburbia
In Suburbia
In Suburbia
In Suburbia

I liked that some of their music was socially conscious regardless of the music background... quite impressive.

Btw if you haven't heard there full albums i HIGHLY reccomend it. I had a brief period where i was obsessed with buying every album lol

There albums are either great or good & haven't made a straight up bad album... so i respect that smile

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Btw, may i ad PSB as much as i adore them to death. There to me a perfect example of a band that people should listen to before judging.

When i heard the name come on.. sounds so boy bandish, and my aunt was like this be my ''gay music'' So i just assumed it was all dancy happy go lucky stuff. Than i heard West End Girl, Love Comes Quik;y & Rent. And i was like yeah... i was way wrong lol

Was this song ever played on MTV in America?

In America they only had 6 top 20 hits. But in the UK they have like 40 or some crazy shit lol

I'm more familiar with the remix than the regular version.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
