I think Michael was underrated, peroid. He may have been big commercially, but critically people failed to acknowledge how awesome he was

BUT MJ is included in the Hall of Fame rock n 'roll (twice), the Songwriters Hall of Fame, in the National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame (it's not surveys, ratings and articles in newspapers, this is a complicated procedure and absolute recognition) ... I do not think. that there is at least one artist who has it in 3 areas: music, dance, song authorship.
Michael - a good songwriter, he wrote some great songs on their own and in my personal top 20 favorite authors, but let us frankly, there are dozens more gifted songwriters. Obviously, MJ is a much better songwriter than his rivals on the pop music (Mariah Carrey, Madonna, etc.), but in soul music, and especially in rock music - there is a group of songwriters who are more capable , versatile and productive.
In any case, Michael had a great talent and a full package of different abilities. Only the deaf, blind, limited hater would deny this obvious for everyone fact.

Yea no other fans or just people in general would go stupid like that over somebody NOBODY out now.... There are people who cant stand Mike that would break their necks to get a glimpse of him and run him down. The man couldnt go NO WHERE and if he did he had to disguise himself. There is nobody out now that has that kind of effect over people. Im not star stunned by any of these stars at all.

Indeed.

Yeah I don't think I'd be stunned to run into these people now days either. Yeah MJ couldn't walk around mist Thriller and by BAD Forget it. He was one of the few living legends.

Where is he? Does he have a new girlfriend or what?

nah but he keeps dreaming about having some of my stella's and it going down like that lol

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Epic/CBS didn't want Jermaine to release "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" because they felt it would compete with the 'Victory' singles. This was just record company politics.Such a shame because "Tell Me..." would have went straight to Number One.I think it's stronger than anything on 'Victory'.

It was a #1 single on the dance chart and nominated for a Grammy. Had it been officially a single, it would've definitely been a hit on the Hot 100

It should've been on Victory IMO. Jermaine and Michael's performances of it during the Victory Tour were great

I agree it would've went to number 1 as well on the hot 100. I can't tell you how much I heard that song on FM radio in 84-85 when I was a kid, as well as "Do What You Do.."

That is why I LOVE the Bad era look

I like his look more in 1979-1983

In "bad" era MJ looked good, but is a little too androgynous for my taste. I like more pretty and cute Michael than androgynous Michael, although I prefer his work in the later period, 1987-1997. wink

I want unreleased tracks as they were left. Bad25 remixes? Watch, it will probably be something like Justin Beiber doing a remix to Bad and Kanye West doing a remix to Another Part of Me rolleyes

That sounds cool. I was hoping for something like that with Thriller 25. This is possibly the most interesting thing about the Bad 25 project so far.

Knowing that there possibly might be some remixes is definitely the least exciting thing I've heard. I'd so much rather unreleased material, even if it's crap. Give me a poorly recorded, unfinished song that didn't make it onto Bad over remixes. I really, really don't want to hear the 2012 version of "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" where they replace Siedah Garrett's vocals with Fergie's.

If there is you won't see him, he has to be in total darkness, not even Q or Bruce S.(engineer) can see him when he lays down his vocals.
