Hands up who has the Sex book at home?

Still got my copy! biggrin

I was twelve when Erotica came out in 1992, and the album taught me more about sex than anything else did! lol.....it was also the first new Madonna album after I'd become a proper fan (started getting into her around Immaculate Collection).

I had to beg my Mum to get me the Sex book....fortunately my Mum is very cool and she treated me to it and didn't ask too many questions (she must have known what it was about, she'd heard me blaring Erotica on CD enough! lol). Me and that book had some REAL fun times during my teen years!!!lol lol

I have two copies, one of them is still sealed. biggrin

Survival Madonna, Dallas Austin Nellee Hooper, Madonna 3:31

I'll never be an angel
I'll never be a saint it's true
I'm too busy surviving
Whether it's heaven or hell
I'm gonna be living to tell, so

No risk no glory (no glory)
A little

[Chorus:]

Up and down and all around
It's all about survival

Does your criticism (criticism)
Have you caught up in what you cannot see
Well if you give me respect
Then you'll know what to expect, a little

The Bedtime Stories album Outtakes

  • Something's Coming Over Me – The unreleased original version of the song "Secret" written and produced with Shep Pettibone and then abandoned. US copyright registration# PAu-1-889-253.[86] This version does not have the downbeat guitar R&B vibe of the released song. During the unique bridge of the unreleased demo the music drops out and Madonna speaks: "I see your love coming down; let it wash all over me." Then the bass and the drum kick back up in club anthem style where she sings: "Something's coming over me, over me, over me, over me." Shep Pettibone later did get co-writing credit for "Secret" due to this initial work which he did not originally get when the album Bedtime Stories was first released in 1994.
  • I Will Always Have You – The unreleased original version of what became the released song "Inside Of Me" recorded with Shep Pettibone and then abandoned. US copyright registration# PAu-1-889-251.[87] This ballad sounds more like the familiar style of "Crazy for You" or "You'll See" than what later became the soft, lullaby-like released version. The released song's theme is all about Madonna cherishing the memory of a loved one, but in this demo she also wants to be the object of the song to also be remembered. The words "inside of me" are hardly used but many of the same lyrics are switched around. The melody is significantly different than the released version.[citation needed]
  • Human Nature Two demo excerpts leaked online from the song Human Nature in September 2008. Featuring distinctly different lyrics from the released album version, the excerpts are either earlier verses or a discarded bridge section.
  • I'd Rather Be Your Lover (feat. Tupac Shakur) An alternate version of the song where, instead of Me'Shell NdegeOcello rapping the breakdown, Tupac is rapping.[88][89] This version was originally meant to be released, but was scrapped due to serious criminal charges brought against the late rapper and since the album was to present a kinder, more gentler Madonna, any unnecessary controversy was best avoided.[citation needed]
  • Love Won't Wait (original 1994 demo) A song abandoned and not used on the Bedtime Stories album. Madonna and Shep Pettibone later gave it to former Take That singer Gary Barlow. It was not written specifically for him. He received a demo tape with that song including her lead and backing vocals. The unreleased Madonna demo is US copyright registration# PAu-1-889-250.[90] The demo leaked onto file-sharing services from sources unknown around the year 2000. Madonna's version has a strong clear vocal with bubblegum instrumentation that vaguely sounds like synth-Motown.
  • Bring It Written and produced by Madonna and Shep Pettibone but never released. US copyright registration# PAu-1-889-252.[91] Partial lyric reads: "I know your love is bad for me, but I won't give up until you bring it to me."
  • Goodtime and Tongue Tied, listed in the Warner/Chappell Music database,[92] along with Bring It. All three songs are listed as written by Madonna and Shep Pettibone, copyright ASCAP.
  • Right On Time Written by Madonna and Dallas Austin. Listed in the European MCPS database. APRA id# GW0916567

Oh, Lawd! It's amazing what happens to (some) women when the makeup's stripped off. Meaning that she's MUCH better looking WITH makeup.

That isn't Madonna without makeup

Madonna is very beautiful natural. Especially when she wears her hair dark and curly(natural)

Her daughter looks just like her.

This photo shoot was done to promo the Bedtime Stories (etherial) feel. And she is in makeup

But those pictures are beautiful to me

Just heard Bedtime Stories in its entirety for the first time (believe it or not!) and I totally love every song on this album. I did recognize one I heard from the radio years ago but I really missed out when I tuned out of Madonna and other artists in the nineties. I love every song on this album! It is a bummer that I wasn't tuned in...and then, yet again, it is great discovering albums for the first time that I never listened to before from artists that I was really into when I was young and still put out great stuff! cool

love this photo shoot. used to have the one with her playing backgammon with the dog as an official poster. it was called "Spain".... I think I still have it, but it's very tattered and dog-eared, so to speak. Lots of tape from moving around in college.

actually, now that I think about it, it was a different picture of her in the same dress playing solitaire.

still, love it.

not this one

Deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper
Sweeter and sweeter and sweeter and sweeter

[Chorus:]

I can't help falling in love
I fall deeper and deeper the further I go
Kisses sent from heaven above
They get sweeter and sweeter the more that I know

When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything
That's what my mama told me
Round and round and round you go
When you find love you'll always know
I let my father mold me

[Bridge:]

Daddy couldn't be all wrong
(Not gonna let you slip away, I'm gonna be there)
And my mama made me learn this song
(You're gonna bring your love to me, I'm gonna get you)
That's why

[chorus]

The deeper I go
All is fair in love she said
Think with your heart, not with your head
That's what my mama told me
All the little things you do
Will end up coming back to you
I let my father mold me

[bridge]
[chorus, repeat]

Someone said that romance was dead
And I believed it instead of remembering
What my mama told me
Let my father mold me
Then you tried to hold me
You remind me what they said
This feeling inside
I can't explain
But my love is alive
And I'm never gonna hide it again

[bridge]
[chorus]

Deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper
Never gonna hide it again
Sweeter and sweeter and sweeter and sweeter
Never gonna have to pretend
[repeat]

You got to just let your body move to the music
You got to just let your body go with the flow
Falling in love, falling in love, falling in love
I can't keep from falling in love with you
You know there's nothing better that I'd like to do

"It's really interesting, if you took out the reviews of my work and things that I did and compare them, they're still saying the same thing. I've always had to deal with this sense of people trying to predict that I would soon fail and I've been dealing with that my entire career." - Madonna 1995
