*goes on 'head and pull out that US Bank debit card* Look what u done gone and did!

I'm with you on that. I broke down and got it from Juno. It's a slammin album. My only gripe is that I can't really work out what she's saying most of the time. I think the vocals are kind of low but the album is great and has really good beats. I'm not sure how many of you are hip to Lushus Daim & The Pretty Vain but Oslo Knows is basically a track by them called The one you love with different lyrics. Maya Vik definitely knows her shit to be sampling that.

Damn, you're good! How does this youngster from Norway comes across these 25sth. year old records? But I agree with you, she sure knows how to repackage something .....

And there's this new remix of 'Every Single Day' out on soundcloud.com, it's for free ...

Just listened to Lushus Daims original and I'm really feeling that song too. Member I listened to that album at the weka stow and didn't pick it up, might give it another chance now.

Listening to Nuts @ The Wedding again..yes lawd. "Turn off the Josh Grobin and let's get ill / all in r u ready? Let's go nuts at the wedding..."

Sheila E 1987 album for sure vibe...could have came on right after Pride and Passion and not sound out of place.
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

That's what i'm saying! She really must be a true funk soldier to know that record and realize that it was hot and sample it. I'm seriously impressed. I need to hear that Every Single Day remix!

Thank's for your time to put Jacques Daoud in here. His latest album 'La Revanche Du Fainéant' is highly recommanded, however, if he would do it in English their would be some major buzz .........

If we are talking French Artists, worth mentioning is of course GIMENEZ E's, album: BASTARD MELODIES. Which is MPLS Funk 'par excellence' ... Listen to the tracks THAT DAY & SHARKS FOOLING SHARKS, f. e. .... These cuts are ruling.

Other favorite Funksters from France:

TOMBAD (feat. Juan Rozoff!)

SINCLAIR (all of his albums are so much Prince-like ...)

DOOD

SHUBA-K

SPLEEN

LA FONCTION

KETZACO

Bon weekend to all of you ...

Where r all the people that say funk is dead when posts like this are coming out? Guess they must just ignore it until its gone and then start complaining again.

Romeoblu

I got the album today and it's great. listened 3 times so far.

My Gaslight turned up today so I need to give that a spin.

Every track is a winner.

Stand outs so far.

Get low

Oslo Knows (this is based on the Lushus Daim And the Pretty Vain song The one You Love, from the album More Than you can Handle. A great 1980's Pop Funk album.)

And

Every Single Day, which is awesome.
