I like "You Give Good Love" and "Greatest Love Of All" better than this one. Saving All My Love For You never did anything for me. Sorry. lol

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!
RIP Dick Clark, Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Heavy D, and Donna Summer. rose

"Greatest Love of All" is still her best song IMO, but "Saving All My Love for You" would be my next favorite on her debut. Well, "All at Once" is up there as well...

I love this song and so does my 70 year old partner, who thinks what happened to Whitney was a tragedy, the whole first album is great, but no one has mentioned my favourite track off it - How will I know and even the second album is great too, So Emotional, Didn't we almost have it all, and even Love is a contact sport - Wow!

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Its amazing that this song is a cover but I dont know who sang it originally after all these years. This was a great track to me its better than 'All At Once' and 'Where Do Broken Hearts go" . This song out performed 'You Give Good Love' and the pop charts.

it was originally recorded by Marilyn McCoo in 1978:

Clive Davis was slick lol He picked songs that weren't big hits the first time around,so people would think that Whitney did it first.

Alot of people had no idea it was a cover lol Clive always picked obscure songs for Whitney to cover...songs that weren't big hits the first time around..

*"Just The Lonely Talkin' Again" (originally recorded by the Manhattans)

*"I Believe In You And Me" (originally recorded by The Four Tops)

*"The Greatest Love Of All" (originally recorded by George Benson)

*"All The Man I Need" (originally recorded by Sister Sledge)

*"I Will Always Love You" (originally recorded by Dolly Parton)

I love this woman! Say what you want, but she's the best "technical" singer there ever was. There's not a genre she didn't master. She's truly the voice.

What pisses me off is when I see a singer like Mary J. Blidge on her 10th studio album. Whitney only has 6 studio albums over her 26 year career. She should have had more releases during the 90s, but she was too occupied with films. We still got some good songs though.

That Clive Davis is a slick dude he knew Whitney can make a cover sound like an original. I had no idea

'Just The Lonely Talkin Again' was a cover it's a great R&B song. I knew the others (for the record I liked George Benson's of 'The Greatest Love of All' better)There was another cover she did by the Isley Brothers "For The Love You".

I makes me wonder how much Dolly Parton received in royalty checks for 'I Will Always Love You" I know she couldve open another theme park.

Her remake of "For The Love Of You" is incredible.I love the lush, exotic production by Narada Michael Walden.

She is the only artist to have 4 #1s with covers!

Saving all my love

All the man that I need

Greatest Love of All

i Will Always Love you

That's incredible!

However, as much as I love Saving all my love, You give good love tops that imo, her adlibs on that song gives me chills!

I think her remxies qualifies as house music and they sure did reach #1 on the dance charts. It's her dance fans and clubs that held down 'Just Whitney'. That cd got 3 #1 dance hits and MLIYL had about the same.

BTW, I love her rendition of 'you light up my love'. very soulful and gospelly.

That was the finest moment on her second CD. I wish Clive would have allowed her to work more with Kashif. Guess he didn't want her music to sound too black.

Really, I had no problem with Nippy back in the 80's and early 90's. She could do no wrong in my book. But, then, "My Love Is Your Love" came along and both the music and her voice has been all down hill ever since.
