Miguel on the Tonight Show

I've never heard of this guy before. He just performed this song on the Tonight Show. Any opinions here on the Org?

So, I found his website and listened to the first album.

It's a lot better than the live performance, in my opinion. He checks a lot of Prince motifs, imagery, and swagger, and adds his own spin to it.

Nice effort... Let's see what happens with his career.

He will flop if he keeps doing music like that ... At that rythm I give him 2 albums and then indie route !

I give him credit for actually singing in these days of rapping and autotune. He also plays guitar but I haven't seen him do that yet.

Miguel is no Maxwell, but anyone who is trying to do something real is welcome news.

If someone like Prince, who can sing, dance, and play instruments came on the scene, they'd be poised to make a name for themselves. There will only ever be one Prince, but musicianship is bound to make a comeback.

Is this his 2nd? Or is this one the first (with "All I Want Is You")?
