Anyone Remember John & Ernest 's "Superfly Meets Shaft"?

I used to play the shit out of this back in 1973.

WOW! You know, I read the title of this thread several times before finally something rang a bell. Then I played the YouTube clip and BAM! It all came back to me, lol. I don't think I've heard this song SINCE 1973, lol. This was a big deal back in the day, they used to play it on WABC radio here in NY. I remember this record started a little trend in the years that followed. Parliament even did a song similar to it on the P-Funk Live Earth Tour LP - "The Landing (Of The Holy Mothership)".

What a blast from the past, and it almost flew under my radar, (...almost overlooked this post). I absolutely remember this song! Probably one of the earliest examples of "sampling" we have on record, lol. How crazy! lol

Yup, they did..

Funny thing is, I even use to make my own, with a portable recorder and a realistic microphone from radio shack, making up my own questions and using snippets of songs for the reply.
