Shanice "Saving forever for you"
Yeah I get nostalgic for the soundtrack if comes off (Beverly Hills 90210 LOL). Decent song though, and one not off her greatest hits compilation apparantly (licencing-too much money wanted probably).
David Fosters production is spot on, with a flawless key change that goes into the final part of the song (around the 3:30 mark LOL). Smooth transition with no break in the song to indicate the key change. Yep I notice such geeky things:lol:
I also dig what sounds an awful lot like Joey "always coca cola" Diggs adlib on the second verse. How he never made an album is beyond me?
Anyway, yes it's of it's time, but it's quite overlooked I think. [Edited 11/25/10 17:59pm]

I actually have that soundtrack somewhere, but haven't listened to it probably since the 90's. It's too bad she never became really popular and is now putting up videos singing other acts songs in her house like an amateur singer. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yeah. I have her first 3 albums but barely play any of them LOL. Infact, I have never even heard her 3rd album but I know I have it somewhere?
She was quite cute aswell.

I have all four of her albums, (5 if you include her greatest hits.) She is so underrated. Great range, too. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I have all of her albums. There's 5 or 6 of them. The most recent one came out in 2006. But the 90210 soundtrack wasn't all her. There were also songs by Color Me Badd, Jody Watley, & others. The 3rd album was 21... Ways To Grow, it's pretty good. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Yeah I know The "Beverly hills 90210" OST wasn't all her. Decent soundtrack actually. Very "summery" for lack of a better word. Jody Watley's upbeat "all the way to heaven" is another fav, as is the one song wonder by Puck and Natty
Sorta reminds me of something Pauley Shore would do LOL. Very dated, but kinda quirky.

I adore Shanice. Phenomenal vocalist that no artist out now can come close to vocally IMHO. If she would be willing to act and dress like a hooker like most of the female top acts do nowadays, she probably could be on top right now, but she has class so she'd never lower herself to that (I pray). This song was from the Beverly Hills 90210 soundtrack, which was pretty good. Besides her song, this song was my favorite from that album:
Prince Rogers Nelson
Sunrise: June 7, 1958 Sunset: April 21, 2016 ~My Heart Loudly Weeps "My Creativity Is My Life." ~ Prince Life is merely a dress rehearsal for eternity.

Yeah, I dig "love is" aswell. Funny how the 2 acts with the then highest profile off the OST, Paula Abdul and Color me badd, had very average songs off it. Both sound like outtakes and it's not surprising why Paula dropped producer Elliot Wolff from her second album if he was coming to her with tracks as average as "Bend time back around".....not terrible by any means though, just disappointing....
...Still at least it's not half as bad as Color Me Badd's "got 2 have you", which is clearly just a knock off of their own "all for love" (same producer on both). Very poor by their standards...

I have all but the second album with I Like Your Smile and the last release she put out on her independent label. I have Discovery on cassette and have the 21 Ways to Grow cd and her one cd on LAFace which i thought was probably her best. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Big fan of Shanice, her music career should've taken off, why it didn't I don't know. Was kinda shocked when Micky posted her YouTube Channel link . . . "singing out of her living room."

I love that song. I really love this video of her with Justin Timberlake:
She had to school him on how it's done when she hit that high note. Prince Rogers Nelson
