Thanks Timmy. hug

I've always had a great, great, affinity for Little Richard. Through the humor you can hear a man who knows in his heart what he's meant and done for music. I can't remember but in the early 70's some variety show had The Who (with Tina Tuner) performing "Tommy", Elton John, Sly and The Family Stone, Chicago, and Little Richard. Richard closed the damn show down; Sly showed up relativley sober and jammed his ass off, but couldn't touch Richard. As many times I've seen Richard performed that show, that night, was meteoric.

Best article I've read in a long time! Thanks. It takes me back to when I was a kid and discovered Little Richard for the first time by playing my Mom's 45 records on her old record player... Great music! cool

Little Richard is a musical genius plus a trip and a half! There are not a lot of artists from his era still living, we should appreciate him while we can. Thank you for posting the article.

nod Because you never know when they're gonna be gone. I'm starting to appreciate those who have struggled for a while but have been able to pull through. Here's hope that Richard recovers well to continue to bless us with his great talents. smile

Gunsnhalen

One of my faves!, he's one of the reasons i play piano cool

I first bought the Georgia peach after wearing it and the 22 or so song's on it out. I Went on a hunt for Richard's actual albums even his gospel output. All of it is great, this man is one of the king's and i think he is amazing!

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen
