Tamia To Work With Darkchild On New Album

November 9, 2010

Tamia has confirmed that she will reconnect with Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins as the producer for her upcoming album.

The new record follows Tamia's 2009 Greatest Hits collection and will be her first new studio album since 2006's Between Friends.

She broke the news via Twitter earlier this week writing, "So excited to be working with Darkchild next for my new project." Tamia and Darkchild's last collaboration resulted in the tracks "The Way I Love You," "Too Grown" and "Can't Get Enough," all of which appeared on Between Friends.

The songstress has not yet announced a title for the project.

I love Tamia but her best tracks from Between Friends were not produced by Darkchild.

I was wondering the same...I really liked their rendition of Cyndi Laupers "True Colors"

I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

I love Tamia, bring it on. music

just don't leave me hanging like El has, i'm still holding

on. C confused an't wait to hear his cd.

Tamia has such a pretty voice. I love the song "ME" it encourages

self love- which a lot of people forget to do when they are in a bad

relationship. You can do bad all by yourself.

I like her a lot too. I didn't get the Between Friends cd because

i downloaded the majority of the album and all the tracks i downloaded

were good. Me was a nice song. It sounded a little like a continuation

of one her songs from More.

I'm not a big Rodney Jerkins fan either but i can tolerate him a more than

these other fly by night producers. Can't Get Enough worked.

I think the project was scrapped.
