Alicia Keys does nothing for me at all... have never been able to get into her stuff. i don't doubt she is talented, but just not my cup of tea i guess

She's decent. Better than a lot of what's out there.

If you look at the musical landscape today, Alicia is head and shoulders above everyone else, but considering what passes for talent these days, that isn't saying much.

Id rather here her stretch on vocals because im not a fan of slick ass production and re-doing vocals and layering vocals, to me thats why so many singers dont tour, they dont know how to

She just goes right over my head, apart from a handfull of songs I find her quite the snoozefest!!

No. She's not terrible, but I wouldn't call her good. For whatever reason she insists on singing far beyond her range. I still can't understand why 'No One' was such a big hit. That bitch's voice on that song made me wanna go out and kill babies and cats. Someone in another thread made an interesting point about her singing. They said that it didn't make sense why she, as a musician, can't seem to find and stay in the right key vocally. They pointed out that usually a person who can play an instrument is the first one to find and stay in key.

I think she's a good singer. Not great, not outstanding, not the best.

or

the "You can be SHOO OOH WHOA" from No One

she's putting everything she's got into those lines. Usually the ones with the worst "takes" but the ones that are kept anyway because it sounds like conviction.

I'm asking if ALICIA KEYS is a good singer. I didn't ask for your input on David Bowie. He sings songs that are fitting for his voice unlike Flat Keys. Who like TonyVanDam pointed out - tries to sing like Whitney Houston in her prime.
