Bobby Brown - King of R&B

NOBODY IS CALLING HIM THE KING OF RNB just USED IT AS A TITLE for the video

Homie went in on this performance, and also brought karyn white out with him to do the rockwitcha pushups on her

Bobby Brown was NEVER, I repeat, NEVER king of R&B, king of the stage or king of anything.
He was entertaining at times, though.

Bobby really never got a chance to be a "king of anything". I still wonder what was in Whitney's head when she said that...

My nephew considers Usher to be this generation's, Bobby Brown. How do the stack up against each other, especially at their peak?

so many people say that but is just because they both sang and danced? Bobby seemed more like a bad boy tryna be good and Usher a good boy tryna be bad.

As much as I love Bobby, one great album doesn't make you the king of R&B...but the man did and still does know how to get the crowd moving. nod I know he's doing a lot better now, and I hope it continues that way. Shucks, I actually prefer to hear him sing these days as oppose to hearing his ex-wife. That's for sure.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

depends live performance Bobby kills him and it isnt close, but on record Usher was at his peak from 97 - 05 so he got it there

but til Usher steps his showmanship game and not stop performing the same set and the same exact coregraphed show i dont know:

NO.

"Don't Be Cruel" is a fantastic album. But still: NO.

I was at those Bobby Brown concerts at his peak during Don't be cruel. He ruled the stage and was a good entertainer.

Don't Be Cruel (the album) was a hard act to follow. But Bobby was still a fun album.

@ qvgangsta18...Welcome back Krazy. In fairness, Bobby Brown was definitely one of the last kings of uptempo black music.

Wow. I dind't Bobby could bring it live vocally like that. I'm impressed! I had only seen him do live shows a couple times on TV and the vocals were off, but he is really good here!

WTF Was Karyn White doing onstage? Was that really she? She just stood there!

Also the keyboard player to "our" right of Bobby reminded me of Eric Leeds and/or Sheila E's Orig keyboard player Karl Grey

Well yeah I did love the "Bobby" album, but it was no "Don't Be Cruel". I love most of Bobby's stuff anyway, I'm just sayin' it don't make him the king though.

Love this song. I was a Bobby Brown fan. He had a long promising career before Whitney.

That rapper in his video was murdered, His name was Brandon Mitchell. Tragically was killed in a shooting incident. He was in that rap group Wrecks N Effect that had the hit song "Rump Shaker" He was killed shortly before its release in 1990.
