Alicia Keys Rippin' Prince Again !

Love the new Alicia Keys album...

but has anyone heard the track 'This Bed'?

I think Alicia has been playing those old Prince records again...

Do Me Baby

Definitely, the "Here I am..." at the beginning and the talking part reminds of "Do Me Baby".

Prince is letting her do this ....it's a kind of theme since the first CD she always has one track that has a Prince feel about it... lol

I like it razz

It's uncanny though, the resemblance.

It's only lacking the "I feel s-s-s-s-s-s-soo-----...c.c.c.c.c.coooollllldddd." part.

"I've met Prince. I tried to look cool, but I certainly have looked like a kid before his star. It is brilliant," the singer admitted to BBC Radio

Alicia Keys - BBC Jan 2010 ... biggrin

Kinda cool song...I'd buy it (the song, not the cd...those days are gone, aren't they?)
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

The song is going to be kareoke trash in a few years
"Not to sound cosmic, but I've made plans for the next 3,000 years," he says. "Before, it was only three days at a time."

eh eh yup I'm a bit of an obsessive. Stuff gets played to death then I move on the next obsession. Mostly woman vocalists since 2000. Just like Pwink

The guitar riff at the beginning reminds me a lot of Jimi Hendrix' Voodoo Child (Slight Return).
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It reminds me of 17 Days both in production style and subject matter. Regardless of wether its a Prince rip or not, I actually like it a lot. Probably my favourate A Keys single to date.
