I agree with TD3 that bad parenting is bad parenting-it doesn't matter your profession. And parenting is really a luck of the draw.

It was about the same time Ms. Franklin owed IRS for back taxes; her house was insured for a tidy sum and it was thought maybe the house was burned for that reason. I think Ms. Franklin being who she was, the authorities nor the insurance company really didn't want to follow up on why and who burned down her house. He has made a pretty good living being listed as a co-writer on several of Aretha's early hit singles at Atlantic, and he received a sweetheart deal in the divorce: he got their son, the yacht and most of all the publishing on Pundit Music.
