no way would I say Aaliyah was overrated . . .
she definetly had that "X" factor & ok she was no vocal diva but she worked well with what she had. I think her movie career would have become bigger than her music career had her life not been cut short  Life has a way of making you live it. . . . | |

Aaliyah was very tlaented in many areas. I recall having a conversation after her death to the effect of her passing left a void in music that a lot of girls tried to fill (Ashanti for example). I think if she had lived she would've continued to grow and impress us with her talents. It's too bad we'll never know what could have been.

I don't know if she was overrated....I truly don't think she had a chance to reach any kind of peak. I think it was just so sad she was so young when she died. | |
