I've been looking forward to this for a month or so already! She's also going to be on The View, I believe on the 7th!

Berry Gordy looks and talks a lot like Russell Simmons now.

Why was Berry on for this one, but not on for Flo Ballard or Debarge?

Guess Teena and Berry have a lot of respect for each other still... nWo (aka FUNK 3.0): bboy87 - timmy84 - muthafunka - littleBLUEcorvette - phunkdaddy - christopher

I'll have to catch it on the 10's because I missed about 30 min of it. Be very careful how you treat people: You know where you've been but you don't where you're going.

I was wrong. Teena considers him her dad

Yeah I saw it. I seen that Smokey had the nerve to say that Rick didn't have a decision in the money decisions around there??? Please! Rick was Motown's cash cow back in those days...and money can influence any executive to go THEIR way. I've always thought that Smokey was a high yella crook. So yes Teena was definitely right to leave Motown...they weren't even paying her the bare minimum of $6,000 a year.....WHICH ISN'T EVEN ENOUGH TO LIVE ON!!!!! I'm glad she's still around recording and all. Though her daughter can't sing a lick "Who gonna check me boo?" Boriqua1130 said: It's never too late, to be "Experienced"

well you know that Berry and Flo didn't get along, so it wouldn't have made sense for him to be on her's....as far as DeBarge goes, really don't know why he wasn't on that one. "Who gonna check me boo?" Boriqua1130 said: It's never too late, to be "Experienced"

U are kidding about her daughter not singing a lick, right? I just saw her at Viejas Casino, and she's got her Mom's chops, but give her a break, she's only 17!

This was a good Unsung, I liked the footage of Teena, Rick, and the Stone City Band in the studio, wish they woulda showed more of that. They shoulda had Teena talk about "Cassonova Brown", which we all know was directed at Rick

I thought this episode was just passable. She had no great tragedy in her life. I doubt next week's ep will be that good either.

It will be for those us who are fans of Bootsy/P-Funk, even though they'll probably cover stuff most of us Bootsy fans know already, like most of the Unsung's so far. The only two that I can say I've learned something new about was Debarge and The Clark Sisters, the rest I pretty much know alot about.

Hopefully Zapp will be more in the tradition of the great Unsung eps
