Good lord....time aint kind to funk history sometimes.

Dunno who the HELL that pic is of....sure AINT Tom Browne.

And it's "The Evasions".....not "Persuasions". Great jam anyway.

Yes, that is Tom Browne. At least according to the label that released his 'Best Of' package. This is the cover art that was used. This particular photo always reminded me of Denzel.

Hey, is anyone hip to the remake that appeared on one of Bob Baldwin's CDs a few year back? It featured Tom Browne and Tonni Smith back on vocals. She sounded even more like Chaka this time. My mom called me when she first heard it on the radio and asked me did I know Chaka remade "Funkin 4 Jamaica"? I had to explain to her what was going on. biggrin
