"Waters of March" is my all-time favorite composition by Jobim. I reflect on the passage of time and mortality upon every listen. It's sublime.

BlueNote said: BlueNote That's funny because I first saw it in a commercial for "SeaLab 2021" (probably around the same time).

Elis Regina unleashed... ...Arrastão & Como Nossos Pais (love the band attire It seems she preferred this kind of "heat" to the "cool" bossa. From what i've read, her personality had heavy doses of both. tA Tribal Disorder

http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 She is one of my vocal heroes. I first discovered her music as a small child (listening to NPR). I used to sit and listen to her voice boom itself out my bedside radio. I had no idea what she was singing, or what she looked like... but I knew the voice, her inflections. When she died I was completely traumatized. I was only 10 years old.
