If you have to do something kicking and screaming and tearing down others with your "self love" words- maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

Great performance. Its been said in other threads...everyone always focused on MJ but the rest of the Jackson (the boys) were talents in their rights also. It's really too bad that I was born in 1983 I'm in the mood for love...simply because your near me.

A young Jermaine plays the lines of the legendary Motown bass players in this live performance from 1972. Turn up the volume and hear his playing at full force... Yep,..like I posted last week some time on the thread about Tito, Jermaine was killin' on the bass when he was with the Jackson 5. He and Tito both had to play rather complexed parts that James Jamerson and Wah Wah Watson and Dennis Coffey recorded on the J5's albums. James Jamerson was one of the best bassists of all time and he's the one playing bass on the album version of "I Wanna Be Where You Are". Jermaine here is staying true to Jamerson's bassline but is really throwing down some extra quite fluid licks of his own. Great example of Jermaine's playing, especially when he was so young. [Edited 10/18/09 23:41pm] [/quote] yep and jamerson along with nathan watts are my fave players but jermaine def has skills! amaretto titties!!!

I've often wondered if construction of a red lightsaber takes place before you can become a Republican, or is it something you do after initiation. Dah, well...

On the bass, as black has stated, he was in the senior class at the school of Jamerson and interned at the Graham Academy. That's why I'm upset with him. Jermaine's got TALENT, the fuck doesn't he use it. He can play bass, he can sing as smooth as his mentor, the hell happened to him? Soul music, wake up, create more legends! RIP Teddy!

I'll forgive him for staying at Motown even though I think he should have followed his brothers. But altough some good and even some great songs like You need to be loved, Castle of sand, Let's get serious, You like me don't you, Don't take it personal he seemed to lack directions at times. He seemed to obsessed with chasing success. He should have put more trust to his talent and art instead. He could at least have kept on producing and writing for others like he did Switch and Whitney. Look at him now. What the heck is he doing going round the world doing interviews and attending shows.

Where's soulalive with the tracklist for the Jermaine shows that are never gonna happen?
