I notice that the older she gets, she gets meatier. She has big ole legs, she's not one of those women walking about with her clavicle sticking out, and it works for her. Most importantly she seems to be fine with that, too, which makes the meatiness attractive on her. | |

I don't get that you think she looks 'meaty' or has 'big ole legs', she has a lovely figure, and great legs! Looks kind of 'normal' to me! At that other recent thread people were saying that whilst she does perhaps have some of the classic, soulful quality of Stevie or Marvin in her music - she should not be in any way really compared to them. Well, let me just say that I far prefer seeing her in that outfit over Stevie or Marvin. | |

Well then let me explain it to you: In comparison to many of the young women on today's music charts, she looks meaty in that she is clearly not a 0 or size 2, does not have bony arms, and as I already stated, she has actual flesh over her clavicle as opposed to the popular look of having it protrude all over the place. Although you don't see much of it here, in most photographs one can clearly see that Alicia is very hippy, has large thighs, and thick legs without much of an ankle. However, I never said she wasn't lovely because of this, I do believe I said she looks attractive this way. As for her age, I don't exactly know what you're talking about, but I'll take a stab at it; Alicia was 19 when the general public first became familiar with her. Now, here she is, nearly a decade on and she looks great. Some young people don't make it that long in show business without succumbing to all sorts of activities and stresses that take a toll on their health as well as their looks. That poor Spear's girl comes to mind as an example. Anhooo, Alicia is a talented young woman, a great humanitarian (for her age) and I wish her every happiness  | |

I wasn't having a go at YOU, or saying that you didn't think she looked attractive, I got that part! And the 'older' part was just in general, other people have mentioned her 'ageing well' etc, I just find it amusing because she's still quite young. But yeah, I get what you're saying!  And you should really give up the fags, not good for you!!
So yeah, we're basically on the same page, not questioning you exactly but the whole size zero and ageing concept, it kind of annoys me!

I think the difference is that both, Stevie and Marvin, sculptured the kinda music Alicia does. Alicia does great songs, but they're nothing new. Her songs are good, but at the end of the day she's recycling old soul songs. WHich is fine with me, I'm glad for every Alicia Keys. She should kick out Beyonce out of the game. AK def has more soul than Beyonce. | |
