Thin Lizzy, Prince like aesthetics?

At the very beginning of the live footage he's on the ground with the guitar, very Dirty Mind, also the illustration at the very start has Phil Lynott wearing a large hoop ear-ring on his left ear, very Lovesexy... or am I reaching?

Very pre-Prince.

Phil Lynott was doing this kind of thing since the early 70's.

Phil Lynott was so underrated. And yes, Prince borrow a few of Phil's ideas.

Tupac "Makaveli" Shakur (RIP 1971-1996) & Michael Jackson (RIP 1958-2009)

2 men that had their lives taken away the moment they were speaking out AND rebelling against the dark side of the music industry once too often.

Well, being that Phil was BEFORE Prince, it is P who took from Phil. And not only Prince but even more so, Andre Cymone. A.C. told me personally that he and Prince both adored Phil and he said that Phil was THE influence on Andre visually the entire time he played in P's band. One look of the inner sleeve photo of the band to the Dirty Mind album and it might as well be Phil standing in Andre's spot. Andre was VERY Phil influenced.

Phil was the shit. Half these poser rockers today wish they were the rebel that Phil was. Thin Lizzy weren't just a band but they were a gang. It showed in their music.

The new DVD "Live And Dangerous" is killer.

In the "Dirty Mind" sleeve, I knew Andre looked like someone I had seen previously but I couldn't put my finger on it. He looks just like him.

Andy has spoken dammitt.

No question! Phil & the boys were BAAD in their day and were a big influence on P.
