. Because abusers tend not to learn but to abuse again and again. This is fact. Nobody is saying Women are perfect but in this case the very people who called for calm and stood in blind defense of men WERE WRONG! I'm still waiting for that apology from those who defended Chris Brown denying the very facts that were in their face. . While you're at it...why not demonise everyone and make them into devils also?...your job will be done then. Plus...you're not suggesting Chris Brown fans should apologise to YOU personally right? No?...good job too because that would be a serious case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. l8r .

He hasn't abused since 1-He doesn't have a victim in front of him and 2-He got caught and is under public scrutiny. And it aint about writing him off in advance but he has WORK TO DO IN HIS LIFE to get at the root of whatever the goddamn hell compelled him to beat up a little girl. It aint fixed in the few months just because he hasn't abused again. I am suggesting that the men who defended Chris Brown, begging folks to be fair and impartial blah blah blah when you could SEE the facts of what he did to her, that they come into this thread and admit they were wrong about giving Chris Brown that pass. I bet if I searched the threads you were one of them so yes, apologize to me directly. God is watching you. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Anyway, 1-WTF do I have to do with CB?...lol...I honestly couldn't name one of his songs, so no i don't have to be a 'fan' to defend him...I'm a 37 yr old teacher from the UK who'll defend any young man who hasn't reached full maturity yet...being young is THE time to make mistakes and to learn from them...sheesh. Rihanna is a 'little girl?'...ahem. Sure didn't look like one in 'Umbrella'...but each to their own...so that would make Chris a little boy then? You seem to have a thing about abuse and rightly so...I assume it's all kinds of abuse because I can think of many more serious cases of long term abuse than this that you can campaign about. .

I guess the problem is coppin' pleas to diminish the judicial punishment and also claiming to the public he couldn't remember the incident doesn't sound like he is learning from it. It sounds more like he isn't facing reality at all. hip hop was not born in a board meeting.

It sounds more like he isn't facing reality at all. Exactly. I'm not a fan of locking someone up and throwing away the key as a blanket response to societal problems. However, the calls for people to move on doesn't SOUND like people are advocating that these abusers get the help they need to find the source of their anger and deal with it. Moving on isn't the blanket answer. Everyone involved needs to eventually do that but simply moving on without addressing the real problem is just sweeping things under the rug. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I am open about the fact that I am a survivor of domestic abuse. I encourage women to leave their abusers, better not to be with one in the first place, and for men to get some help as well. It aint about being perfect or high expectations. This is an epidemic in our society. It's handed down from one generation to the next. I'm all about breaking the cycle but not turning a blind eye to the guilty or the innocent. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

ToraTora17 said: ![]() TT you find the BEST gifs!! To me Chris Brown is a lil boy. Rihanna is older than him, but she a lil girl, and I think they were playing lil children romance BS games and it blew up (well literally for her) in their faces. I know he was dead ass wrong to smack the shit out of that girl...but I also have to wonder what the HELL shit was she popping off that made that boy want to pull over on the side of the road and attempt to lay the smackdown on her like he was Steve Stone Cold Austin. It just doesn't make any sense. Regular abuse you think would have waited until after the Grammy's. Anyway they just need to stay the hell away from each other and I hope they BOTH learned valuable lessons from this. admission is easy, just say U believe, then come 2 this place in your heart.
