SoulAlive

My favorite uptempo song by her headbang

Takes me back to Christmas '86,when this song was all over the radio.I always assumed it was a Jam and Lewis production but it's not. It's got their "sound",though.

This song reminds me of that Jim Carrey movie. The one when that vampire lady wants him because he is a virgin.
Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0
Thank You SO much Saint Expedite for your help smile
Thank You Virgin de Guadalupe for helping my friend smile
Thank You Saint Anthony for returning my wallet to me untouched smile

I remember a lot of people thinking this was Chaka when the song first came out.

It seems like,on her first album, they tried to market her as an R&B artist with uptempo dancefloor jams.On subsequent albums, she was presented as a Quiet Storm-type artist (like Anita Baker and Phyllis Hyman).

Yes, I know. Around '83 and 'early '84. When she left, she was kind enough to bring Chaka a replacement, Meli'sa Morgan.

Her first album also has another great uptempo jam: "Don't Blow A Good Thing" headbang
