I just heard new singles by Trey Songz w/ Soulja Boy Tellem and Gucci Mane, and by Mario w/ Gucci Mane and Sean Garrett - man, what has happened to r&b?
All of these homothug looking singers wanna be gangster and have guest rappers and the music sounds like pure d shit!

I was 13 and I remember the turn R&B took. I mean even though hip-hop had always been part of R&B since it came to be in the 1970s, you were starting to get these thug wannabes trying to be R&B singers or at least R&B singers trying to be hard. It's never recovered since.

Some of it was okay but a lot of it was just downright crappy.... . I was never in to gangsta rap unless it was Nas, Biggie , or Wu-Tang clan. Yeah, you're right R&B REALLY hasn't been the same since....I've notice that we agree with a lot of things .
