Printable version (Log in to 'subscribe' to this topic)OK, here's something I have ALWAYS wanted to know: The beginning of the long version of "The way you make me feel" video has what I always considered to be a straight-up Minneapolis/Prince sound to it. The first 3 minutes you can hear it in the background and ESPECIALLY from the 2:40 to 3:00 minute mark it is full throttle prince sounding! ![]()

Happy Ben Those were the the first singles of MJ that we had when I was growing up. And I used to think how sad those songs were. But I loved them. Used to know them by heart. That and the Christmas songs-- Give Love on Christmas Day and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. We used to sing them when we go caroling in the neighborhood. Thanks for the memories Michael. RIP. Yeah, to this day there are only 2 artists' Christmas albums I listen to during the Holidays: The Temptations and The Jackson 5. One must wonder if the Jackson children, meaning Michael, Janet, Tito and the crew, ever got to celebrate Christmas as kids.....

I almost broke down on the subway listening to the radio on my walkman with this MJ mix they were playing. I'm going to finish listening to Off the Wall. I Can't Help It is the next song.
Funny how Janet kind of interpolated this tune on "Can't Be Good" and "What's Your Name" last year. The Jacksons albums are what I have been listening to. I was blasting the Get It Together album loud in the car. Had all the people lookin at me in the suburbs I didnt care f* that they better get hip. Thanks for hitting me up yesterday too You welcome man. We will definately keep in touch. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

It's all so sudden, just cant believe whats happenned. I will always love the man, my favorite will have to be the whole Invincible album, even though its highly underated it just has a fresh sound to it. Please check my website out at www.jacksonplanet.net I think what has happened is an act of God as MJ has never owed anything to us, and he proved to the world time and time again of his geniusness (a word i think?LOL) this time GOd was like i'm openening up heavens doors for you. Step inside.

I don't think I've ever posted on an MJ thread on this site. However, I feel compelled to post today. I wasn't a big fan, but I loved most of his hits and could watch his videos, early performances and concerts through the Bad tour any time. Wow, the magnitude of this has this finally hit me. I think I was still in shock and disbelief yesterday. However, this morning I put on my MJ playlist to listen to him as I work because I wouldn't feel right listening to anyone else today, and tears just started streaming down my face.

I have way too many favorite songs. My favorite album is a three-way tie between Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad. Those are the albums I can listen to without skipping one song.
"If you'd set your mind free, baby, maybe you'd understand." -Prince
