This is what I am talking about when I say that Biggie made other rappers, step their game up. Jay-Z gets very lazy at times and needs a battle to bring the best out of him. I would say that, Biggie did that. He did the same for Nas as well.

I dunno know about that cuz Big died in '97 and Jay had his heyday for almost 10 years after that IMO. He was pretty consistent lyrically speaking. shrug
