If you've seen the movie Juice you'll understand.

wave I saw it. Bishop got full of himself and thought that he could do whatever and whenever he wanted. He had the "juice". He was trying to get his homeboyz to follow his negative path in life and they refused. He tried to kill them and eventually ended up dying himself. Moral of the story is that having everything in life is an illusion. If you don't do the right thing, everything you think you have can be stripped from you. Choices we make today affect us tomorrow.

I just see Miley turning into Brittany. Brittany was in Miley's place once. All squeaky clean Disney, she becomes this big star, starts acting a fool and next thing you know she's 5150, two kids, white trash hubby, divorced and paying everybody hand over fist for doing nothing.

If Miley doesn't get it together now, she will eventually get knocked up or come out with a sex tape (other than the blow job one). That does not bode well for a teenager.

You know, people in my generation (not all but most) need a good ass beating. The problem with Miley and other people around her age is that they want to grow up too fast. I'm not saying every generation doesn't have grown ass kids but still nowadays it seems that the older generations are emphasizing this aspect. And you're right, if Miley keeps it up she could be in the same postion as Brittany in a few years just Jamie Lynn, who's already going downhill.

I think most kids born in 92 onwards are pretty fucked up if you ask me.
[Edited 6/17/09 20:03pm]

A lot of kids are fucked up, it's true. But how do you think they got that way? Their fucked up parents, is how. Disfunction doesn't happen in a vacuum.

The point I'm trying to make is, older generations are just as screwed up.

I kind of feel bad for some of the kids growing up these days, but especially the girls. It seems like, with the advent of the internet, porn, etc. they really have to almost put out more if they want to have any kind of relationship. Granted this isn't across the board, but it seems like a lot of the guys I talk to that are in high school say that the most important thing to them is just getting a girl that puts out. It seems like with cell phones, digital cameras, computers, and all that, girls have even more tools available to them to put themselves in compromising positions. confused

Jordin Sparks, that class act:

"I just have one thing to say about promise rings. It's not bad to wear a promise ring," Jordin told the crowd, before introducing T.I's performance, "because not everybody – guy or girl – wants to be a slut."

Jonas Bros. and Miley both wear or wore purity rings. All the other big stars for the teen market, even if they don't explicitly go on about purity and virginity and whatnot, have handlers who go out of their way to push a squeaky-clean "pure" image.
Did jordan sparks really say that? that's fucked up.

I have to go back and re-watch the clip, but I thought she said it as a knee jerk response because somebody had come on right before her and said something assanine about promise rings/viginity, ect for a laugh. If I remember correctly the response came on the defense, not from the offense and unprompted.

It should be prohibited to make kids or teenagers stars. They rarely have an own creative vision, they're puppets.
Miley is like Hannah - a victim of the people around her who wanna milk her to death.

But I heavily doubt she will be happy in ten years. Fact is: Most of her fans are kids, what when they get lder? They certainly won't buy her products any more.
And I can't see Miley connecting with another audience, like 20 yo.

Why should they start to like a little teenage girl who does crap music?

Disney makes a lot of money off the drama that surrounds, young white ass...
They themselves are the 'pimps'. Not society, not "evil" people photoshopping things on the internet, but the companies are actively promoting sexualized images, and creating the drama and sexual innuendos themselves...

I'd blame Britney's non existent parents for starting off her troubles, while her dad was a recovering alcoholic her mother was raising her sister (raising as in getting her ready for fame too) and left Britney in the care of her PR team most of the time.

But then, Miley seemingly has good parental figures and look what she's doing. Maybe they're just oblivious like so many parents are these days. Though I don't know how you can afford to be oblivious of your famous daughter.

I think they turn the other cheek b/c the kid is the bread winner for the family. this is old school behavior. Parents have always slutted their daughters out to feed the family but of course a 100 years ago it was called marriage LOL.

Shit like that doesn't just fall out of someone's mouth unless they were already thinking it.

And really? Virginity rings should be made fun of. A bit of tin so you can remember you promised God/Daddy (notice it's never Mommy, or themselves, for that matter, these dippy kids are making pledges for...?) you'd keep your knees shut until some dude purchases marries you?

I agree.

To me it seems as if the public announcements of virginity is done with two motives in mind. The more obvious is, of course, to appeal to the midwest, Bible-belt core audience. Because, you know, a young star can't possibly be a good role model unless they're making public announcements about their sexual status. hrmph

But I also think the fetishising of virginity as a sexually appealing trait is really a part of it too. With the girls, at least. Why else dress them up in tight, skimpy clothing, have them bump 'n' grind as they perform, and then announce -lollipop between pursed, glossy lips -that they're virgins?

And don't forget that if you loose "it", you are "fallen" a "slut" and a "whore".

Why because you now have less value. They can't "sell" you upon marriage for as much money... This is age-old. Girls were seen as property period, having sex before marriage, was ruining a possible business arrangement for the family.

Exactly. They get to appear to the "moms", the "kids" and the perverted older men, insuring that this cycle continues, and cash keeps coming into their coffers

Yep, look at me hump on stage, everyone go check out the recent sexual, but never too sexual pics that "accidentally" got stolen from my computer..whatever that Disney likely leaked themselves, let's get shocked at their new "antics", and don't forget, I'm a virgin, and innocent, and nevermind, the 2 inch schoolgirl skirt, and push up bra.... I'll talk about waiting..for SEX...SEX...SEX...but anyone mentioning me in a sexual way is perverted. Why? Because I'm a child. wink

I don't like it, but have no problem with people playing the lolli game, when they are ADULTs. People like to point to Britney Spears, but she was barely, but at least 18.

Oh, and remember, the boys must be completely demasculinized, and of course, are dating the girl star... lol

You are too right, on all points. clapping

Going back ten or fifteen years when boybands were big there was a similar issue. The babies of groups were dressed like little boys, given cutesy nicknames, were often seen in public with candy in their mouths, etc. The same double-appeal motive was at work. It made the boys safe and nonthreatening for their conservative target audience, but it also made them eye candy for dirty old men. You really think a 19 year old man wants to be walking around in overalls with a goddamned bowl haircut? lol

either you gonna keep your legs closed or you're not. you don't need a magic ring. Some people have self control when it comes to sex, food, drugs, gambling or whatever and some people don't. You can pretty much tell who's gonna go the tramp route and who isnt. If one of them Jonas brothers ends up a daddy or gets herpes I will be in an utter state of shock.
