Kanye West is the best rapper!!! I feel almost ashamed he was off of my radar for the first 6 years, it's only since Hard Candy that I know him, and since April that I GET into him.

I think he is fantastic, his voice is perfect for rapping. It's commercial, pleasant, not annyong like Eminem or Lil Wayne, just clean and charming. His hooks are amazing and I just LOVVVE 808s & Heartbreaks!! a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

Was his second album more like College Dropout or did it feature 80s soudn allready?

I didn't really care for him until Diamonds are Forever, before that he was just another shit-hopper to me, though I sort of liked All Falls Down.

but it's more than his big mouth that attracts him to the people. his songs are def better than most other rap musicians. He's taking risks and does good videos.

Well if we're talking about actual skills, then i'd have to say no. Not by a long shot. His flow isn't that nice. I like his music though and I agree that he does take risks and I agree that unlike many rappers, he at least tries to step out of the box and do something different. His second album Late Registration was not all synthed out. Graduation was the first move towards that 808s Heartbreaks sound. But Late Registration is more evolved than the first one, with help from songwriter and producer Jon Brion (who worked with Rufus Wainwright and Fiona Apple).

Kanye is cool, I think he 'feels' himself way too much, but his music is dope. I thought 808's was his weakest album, but his prior works (especially the first two) were dope.

But is he the best, No, not for my money, he is one of the best in the game right now, but for me, thats not saying to much. I dig the first one, but the second oen doesn't do it for me. I adore Gratitude and am DEEPLY in love with 808s.

I highly recommend him to anybody who appreciates real rap music with thoughful lyrics and top notch production. You just about cant go wrong with any of his albums. I wont say the "best" because he hasnt been around for that long, but he is up there in 2000 + rap status. His live shows are hot too. He uses real instruments and doesnt have a whole bunch of people on stage acting a fool rapping with him. He takes his career seriously and doesnt fool his audience. When we say that the purpose of life is to find God, surely that desire to find God is an escape from life -Conciouscontact

is it true he did tour with NERD and Common? I hope KW's next tour will be solo, he should have enough songs by now.

We might need to apply the sticky rule to Kanye if you keep up with all these 'Ye threads. You don't need directions and you don't need cash. From your Jimmy Choos to your Ultralash. ~ Prince And when the groove is dead and gone, you know that Love survives so we can rock FOREVER. ~ RIP MJ

LOL If it weren't for his ego, I'd say he's alright, but he is horrible with that huge head of his.
