Britney's lip-sync coordinator threatens to quit

I didn't know they actually hired "lip-sync" coordinators!

She lipsyncs practically the whole show? And people pay for this? You could go down to the local gay bar and see some drag queen do the exact same thing for 10 bucks.

The Spice Girls lypsynched most of their tour, Mariah used pre-recorded vocals, Madonna did the same, as did Janet and Michael at various times, with the excuse of singing and dancing at the same time, so if we give passes to some, shouldnt it go for all....or none??

But Britney doesn't even dance anymore like she used to.
She walks around and shakes her hair or her ass and even synchs the slow songs.

This article isn't credible at all. This is a gossip site.

And neither are two of the entries on the right. 'Madonna's boy-toy, Jesus, crucifies himself' and 'Michael Jackson to clone himselfin concert.' ?????

Come on people. Find time to find credible sources.

Its like Elton John said, theres a difference between a show and a live act...this is when everyone got on his case (at least on this forum) for saying that Madonna didnt deserve BEST LIVE ACT because she wasnt LIVE! it was ok to say Best Show, Best act etc....but the show was not live and everyone knew it.

It is not a live show and yes I think people under the age of 12 might be interested in seeing it I feel sorry for anyone over the age of 12.

I got roped into taking a 7 year-old to the Spice Girls concert in the late 90's and they definitely didn't lipsync. Towards the end of the show they were performing and the singing started sounding bad, like they were way off key on the harmony. A stage-hand ran out from the back and switched Microphones with Scary spice and suddenly they were back to sounding good. Scary was clearly the spice with the talent at that show.

Spice Girls was live. Emma's mic was cutting in out the entire show I saw and Vicki's solo during Love Will Lead the Way had to be sung by Emma because of a problem during the quick change. Even Geri sang it's raining men live.

Emma, Mel C and Mel B are the better singers of the group. Most of the slow songs are Emma with the most solos followed by Mel C and Mel B doing the ad libs.

Victoria and Geri have lesser roles in the songs. Though Geri was the personality of the group and Vicki was useless Spice until she became a Beckham

I would prefer to pay to see an artist actually sing. I don't like lip synchs.

I don't give passes to any of them for that. It's lazy. Don''t sell yourself as a song-and-dance act if you're not going to, you know, sing and dance.

From TMZ (video of the "incident" on the linked site):

4 songs in, Brit's lip synching show in Vancouver was shut down -- an announcement proclaiming excessive smoking made it "uncomfortable and unsafe for the performers" in the arena.

After 30 minutes, the air was deemed "clean" again and Spears continued -- but ended the show by shouting "Drive safe, don't smoke weed and rock out with your cocks out! Peace mother fuckers!"

Yeah I heard about the joke. lol

Thing is, this is Vancouver. Doesn't matter if you're playing a small gig at a bar or The Commodore or something, or if you've sold out GM Place or even BC Place, doesn't matter what kind of act you are, either. There will be pot, and lots of it. That's just how it is. If a performer doesn't like that, they don't have to come here. shrug

Think that's why Princey's avoided us since ONA? hmmm lol
