I loved her previous albums but have hardly played her new one. Liked the opening track but lost interest after that.

I do hope she is back on form. Need some new soul is my life!

Same here...it is the only album I PLAYED OUT by her. Man I loooved that last album..it is so ecclectic and trippy with elements of soul, hip hop and experimental.

I love how polarizing Pt. 1 is!

Either love it or hate it. I was actually just...confused when I first heard it. But I'm still discovering new things every spin! It's so bizarre, half-baked (no pun intended), rough, - hell half the songs sound unfinished! Like a big long work in progress. But it's so funky.

I actually was expecting her to go 'back to her roots' with NA pt 1 and pt 2 - but pt 1 is like the darker continuation to WWU.

I have heard rumours that part 2 is supposedly more structured, more similar to Baduizm - doubt this is the case though!

Horrah! A release date! Never thought I'd see the day as a Badu Fan.

Pt 1 was definitely an interesting listen, but didn't have much in the way of songs, and didn't hold my interest very long.

I really liked the first one, but all the tracks sounded like unfinished thumbnail sketches of songs or ideas for them rather than full-fledged songs. I'm hoping the extra time that went into Part 2 will remedy that this time around.
